Marijuana odors in the whole hotel
Staff was very welcoming and this had the feeling of a luxury business hotel. We needed a King with a pull out couch, and after a problem with the first room we were upgraded to a Jr. Suite with a separate bedroom. This made the stay very comfortable--I wish we had stayed here more nights. This hotel is tucked in a business park area with not many cars passing by.
Nightly charge I think is expensive. Couple hundred bucks a night but the room is not that worth. Ive stayed at some other hotels with breakfast for what I got charged.TV is 32 inch which I think is small. No water in the room. There are 2 sets of bath and hand towels which I think They should put more If some people bath 2x a day. Loud in the morning. I thought they were guests talking outside but they were housekeepers. I didnt feel the friendly vibes with the staffs. They dont make eye to eye contact. When we checked out the lady at the front desk was using her phone maybe it wasn’t busy.
I loved everything!!! You walk out of the hotel and you're on the beach! The beach bar (Flipper's) had some great drinks, and featured live music too! The kitchen also had an amazing menu (we ordered coconut shrimp, chicken quesadillas, and fish tacos-all delicious)!!! The rooms are spacious, with a small fridge, microwave, and cabinet storage. Some rooms have a balcony so you can step out and smell the gulf breeze! And the beds are super comfortable, for a good night's rest! And then there's the staff... Always willing to give suggestions, of things to do, provide maps or call car services to get you there... And generally showing that they are interested and cared! Want to save a little money, there's a full grocery store across the street, liquor store too (and another a half mile down the street)! We didn't even need a car rental, having taken a $30 Uber from the Tampa airport! Want to splurge a little? There's lots of great bars and drink specials up and down the beach... Everything a short beach (or sidewalk) walk away! Level 11 is a great stop to watch the sunset, with delicious appetizers, good service and a view that no one else on the beach offers! This stay was priced so economically, that we were hesitant upon arrival, but on departure, determined that we'd definitely be back! This is a highly recommend place to stay!!! You can enjoy a lot of the benefits of other hotels in the area bars, restaurants, music, etc., But staying here saves a good deal of money making it a most- economical choice!!!
The hotel is older and it shows. I had booked my room online, and didn’t select any specific room type. The room I got was interior, but when I walked in it was horribly muggy in the room and smelled musty/moldy. The windows don’t open, so there’s no airing it out. I went back to the front desk and told the guy working there... he didn’t so much as apologize, much less offer a solution, so I suggested that he move me to another room. No more interior rooms available, but for $80 he could move me to a beachfront room. That would push the cost of the room well over $200, which is insanity for a hotel like this (especially in the off season), so I said no. “Well we don’t offer refunds” was the response, so my options were mold or pony up the cash. I bit the bullet and sprung for the beach room. It was a cool room, but for that kind of money I could have stayed in a MUCH nicer hotel. To add to the killer customer service, the following morning I called and asked for a late check-out. “No sir, we can’t offer a late checkout, you need to be out of the room by 11”. Thanks. Management needs to seriously evaluate how their staff handles guest service, and ownership needs to fix this place up if they’re going to charge resort prices.
Ideal for families. So much to do and such a beautiful location. Something for everyone.
Staff were not attentive to guests even though occupancy was low.
