Kindness of staff. Had easy access to swimming pool and fitness room. The stay was very comfortable. We enjoyed out stay. We plan to go back. Staff was kind but our trash in the room accumalated. I asked 3 times if it can be taken out. I guess she forgot.
Comfortable beds, easy check-in, check -out, close to our house, good location, friendly personnel. 1st stay 3 weeks ago, we're in our room 10 minutes when the maid knocks on our door to tell us they'd had several complaints about the smell of smoke coming from our room. It was the candles I'd brought for our stay, my B'day and I love to soak in a tub and have scented candles going, had cleared it with the front desk at check in. She was VERY RUDE about the whole thing. This time I check in and get told I need to leave a $50 deposit in case I smoke in the room again, I almost walked out immediately, but I explained to the desk clerk, paid the $50 and went up. Guess what I found??? Dirty, BLOOD Smeared sheets(the blood spots were Bright Red, never washed, and were hidden by the orange bed cover....... Not even an 'I'm sorry' from the guy that came to change it, seemed like I was wasting his time and he wanted me to know it. Last time I'll stay there.
Friendly staff, indoor pool, close to shopping centre, beaches within easy reach.
The room was comfortable and clean, and the hotel is located near many stores and restaurants. It is also fairly close to the college. Although not the fault of the hotel, the people in the room above us were very noisy.
I loved everything! The room was gorgeous and super clean. There was everything we needed in our room. Fridge, microwave, wifi, and big king size comfortable bed! The hotel staff was very polite and the hotel was so peaceful and in the center of so many stores, restaurants, and even a mall.
Facility was outdated. Beds were very uncomfortable
The rooms were clean and bed was super comfy. For the price of the room I would expect a small fridge. I had a great view but balcony doors are locked so you can't go outside on balcony. I took my kids and try not to eat out the entire trip but there was no microwave either. One room didn't even have a blow dryer so my daughter had to come to my room to use mine. The room with 2beds had a closet that was broken. Their sink in the bathroom would never drain. The drinks at poolside bar were so weak. My $7 margarita was very small. The pool was sooo salty and the filter wasn't doing its job. There were tons of bugs in pool.
The location was convenient & the view was nice The walls were very thin. I could hear everything my neighbors were doing. The beds are dated & uncomfortable. The breakfast buffet is horrible.
Everything about our stay was good, except for one little hiccup. Our bath/shower had an issue w/ the water, that wouldn't turn off, Had to change rooms. Was comped a breakfast for the trouble
I liked the day I left. That hotel was horrible. Poor staff, unorganized staff, poor management , no security. Will never return to this hotel or allow any one that I know stay here.
Had a nice view of Corpus Christi Bay Motorcycles and cars racing up and down the street in front of hotel all night!!! Need police presence to stop this!!!
Old casino look, needs to be updated! Holiday inn hotels usually have very modern, clean look. This one looked like a 90s Harrah's casino!
Valet parking on evenings is horrible! Need more Valet people long waits. I waited 45 minutes for my vehicle.
Location Ceiling in bathroom was messed up No microwave For the price I expecting way more.
Comfortable rooms and great view of Corpus Christi Harbor. Close to many good restaurants. Helpful and friendly staff Lack of complimentary light breakfast.
The fitness center looks poor
Nice,Great Location near fast food ,pool was a bit small but it was nice having a sauna and jacuzzi.
Bed was ok; liked having the option of a cotton quilt rather than comforter (which we hate). A/C worked. Desk staff was great. Room we had was on street side and end of hall. It was like sleeping on the off-ramp of I37. Daughter, on other side of hotel said her room was quiet. Bug in the bathroom, and strange rust? stains around tub overflow drain were off-putting.
easy access from the Interstate 37. It is also very quite, peaceful. I feel safe stay there. I had in error book my hotel stay for the weekend twiced. One was prepaid and the other was not. I kept and used the prepaid. But the hotel clerk was not able to cancel the other resevation.
Excellent hotel for the budget All
Hotel was overall clean and staff made our family feel very welcomed
I usually stay at Hilton properties, this one is well worn. It is a Hilton property and that's about all I can say. The room was well worn, the bathtub looked like it came out of the movie physco due to the stains in the tub, the walls, ceiling and other surfaces looked as though they could be swabbed for DNA....and it smelled musty. WAY BELOW the quality expected
Great customer service..
Friendly staff. Bugs in the room.
Nice open air concept, easy accessibility, and large rooms. Cleaning staff missed the room several days.
Breakfast Checked in online but still had to wait 20 mins at desk an hour after checkin time due to rooms not being ready. Did not have the 2 bedroom suite we reserved. Instead put the family in non adjacent rooms. Could hear other rooms conversations and people walking around above us. At 2 am the fire alarm goes off for ten seconds waking up our two year old. Flat out awful experience which is why I stay at Marriotts. Oh yeah, Internet kept kicking off as well
Hotel was really nice inside. Staff was working hard even on holiday week. Food was excellent. Right between Corpus and Port A. Parking lot blocked off for maintenance limited parking.
The staff was friendly and the pool beach area was nice.
Nothing Customer service- Poor attitude and rude Timeliness- waited 45 minutes to check in, the over an hour to resolve issues Quality of hotel- mediocre at best. Bad smell in hall ways, mold on ceilings, beach area was dirty and full of trash Cleanliness- sheets where dirty and took several hours to have replaced
Liked it was next to the beach Carpets dirty none of the oilers worked
The best part was the hotel being directly on the beach. The patio on the beach was great. The room was good sized and clean. Dogs are allowed. Someone at the front desk led me to believe it would've been possible to check in anytime after 10 am which turns out wasn't true. We came to town early and had no where to go for almost 5 hours with 2 dogs.
I liked the fact that the rooms were clean, the pool was very nice and the beach was just out the back door and down a couple steps. The room service was reasonable as well. Very good to stay there and would not mind going back again.
Hotel is located well for getting to various vacation/tourist spots Room was warm no matter how low we turn the air conditioning, so sleeping was not very comfortable
beds were comfortable and rooms were clean, staff was friendly and helpful
The view was beautiful the rooms were nice so close to the beach!! The staff was super rude. Pool is way too much chlorine. Parking is awful
The indoor pool and all that there was to do. The fact that I asked for a room on the 1st floor they told me wouldn't be available till actual check in time so I waited and when I went back all of a sudden they didn't have 1 for me had to get one on 2nd floor even though originally they were trying to talk me out of the early check in b/c there was no elevator.
The hotel was right on the beach. The hotel was old and out dated. The concept was nice, but the pool are would have been a lot better had it been a little bigger. Also the arcade games the had were old.
Views of the water were great. The walls were paper thin and I could hear every door slam from rooms near me from 10pm-12am! A crying child from the room next door woke me up at 1:45am. Bring ear plugs and a white noise machine!
on the beach outdated facility, unfriendly staff, and overpriced... the location was not worth the overall quality of the hotel.
Close to the Bay, cheap price on Kayak. Bar inside hotel. 24 hour coffee shop with nice staff. Great view of the bay. The keycard reader was broken and I was locked out of my room for 30 minutes. They put us on the 10th floor, which isn't renovated and is very run down. The towels were dirty. The front desk was rude. Lobby smells like grease. You have to pay for parking and the garage is super run down and creepy. They moved me to the 9th floor, which was better, but still had issues. The curtains do a poor job of blocking the outside light.
Very friendly staff Cheap sundries, lack luster breakfast for how much the room cost. Lobby is dated but rooms are ok
The only thing that I liked was the close proximity to the water and the fact that it was in Corpus. I hated the roaches, they were everywhere. We had to shake out our luggage they were so bad. It's a serious infestation.
Location There were cockroaches in bathroom, when notified, the room was changed, the second room was free of cockroaches however there was no coffee machine and bathroom door was loose and falling, when asked to fix, it was promised but not provided or fixed. The owner or city inspector noses are immune as they cant feel the smell coming off the old carpets allover the hotel, even in elevator.
The website we booked it on didn't have all the policies for this location, We drove 3 hours just to find out we couldn't stay because we had to be 21 to check in, we were out $65 for the non refundable room and had no where to stay.
Location is about the only thing 1st, room was not ready. Check in was 3pm when I called, when I arrived, she said that was their courtesy check in. Regular check in was at 5pm and check out at 12pm. That's less then a 24 hours stay. Room was ready at 4pm. Then you have to pay for parking.. . Pool was too small for the size of the hotel. Worst thing about it all was the A/C, it was super hot in our room, we could not sleep. Luckily we had reserved a Family Suite, so the other rooms A/C provided some sort of comfort. Breakfast was terrible, less then continental. Went to coffee shop to purchase breakfast and they were out of breakfast as well. All they had were pastries. Needless to say, we will not return. It has great potential but it was a terrible experience.
Área near gulf of mexico Cover blanket has hairs in It. Small roaches in bath room Ceiling texture found on some furniture Picture of hotel looks nice but very different when you are there (as I mention, lots of minor repairs neede) Elevator had a very strong smell of wet rags that had been there for days. Free breakfast was mention but All they had was 5 beggels, juice and coffe.
Initially, the insides looked fine, a bit run down but interesting and the staff were nice. The room had town full sized, not queen beds. The light in the bathroom wouldn't go on so I could apply makeup, I was there for business. There was NO other mirror. The only other item of furniture in the room was an extremely narrow chest of drawers barely large enough to hold the TV. The tub had the handle pulled out of it sometime in the past and instead of replacing this tub/shower insert, they'd just bondoed the bits back together. The toilet was so low as to be the right size for a preschool. I've stayed at much better Econolodges and Motel 6s, so to have to spend $293 for this room was a complete insult. I will never recommend or stay at this hotel again, unless it was the only room for 62 miles, which was why I had to stay there that night.
Shower and bathroom dirty. Unacceptable
Nothing. Well, the a/c worked well. When I walked into the room. It was not at all like the pictures. The shower was dripping. The box spring was exposed and the lining all torn up underneath. When I pulled the toilet paper the whole holder came out of the wall. There was a bug ON MY TOOTHBRUSH. I prepaid for 3 nights and could only stomach the one. They WOULD NOT REFUND the other two nights. There were 5 other people complaining and checking out at the same time I was. There were stains on the walls and bathroom. It was NOT AT ALL AS PICTURED. AWFUL.
Location was good Older hotel and I had a few crickets stay with me.
All the rooms face inward towards the lobby so looking down from the tenth floor was cool Staff was distracted and joking with each other while checking me in. Parking was an extra $6.50. I forgot to bring toiletries and they were only able to give me a small packet of toothpaste; no razors, no shaving cream, no toothbrush, no deodorant. Continental breakfast tasted like cardboard.
