Breakfast was included! The hotel is a run down, but the rooms were clean and the decor was thoughtful. There was a darling breakfast area that looked like an old fashioned diner. Great value for the amount we paid.
Staff was friendly. Close to the freeway. Felt somewhat unsafe. First floor room with exterior door a sliding glass door! Gap at base of door. Only secured with small piece of metal. Interior room or upper floor would have been more secure.
Breakfast and open common area was the only plus to this stay. Pool was not heated, have to pay to play pool in the rec area, we rented 3 rooms and one did not have a working a/c and even the room we were moved to at 11:30 did not have a working a/c
Clean rooms, staff friendly, breakfast okay, microwave and frig in room. Did not have bacon or sausage on breakfast just eggs and gravy. Plug in room did not work. I plugged my computer in thinking it would charge and it went dead in a day and I thought it was broke until I figured out what happened.
Beds, pillows, clean room. Stairway, hallway needed vacumming
The price was a little worried but definitely not worth it. I will never stay in the Baymont Hotel again. The room was filthy, the bath water was brown, the linens had crusted junk from the previous occupant on them, etc. terrible experience! In the lobby, many guests were complaining in the same manner as I was.
Staff was very friendly and made us feel so welcome. I really enjoyed kickback and there was plentyNot of space for us and two little ones! Def recommend! Nothing :) Was great!
We often travel between Texas and Colorado and vice-versa. The Drury Inn and Suites in Amarillo has become our standard overnight resting place. It is conveniently located, clean, and quiet. The popcorn machine in the lobby creates a smell of rancid grease throughout the ground-level and second floors of the hotel. I guess that some folks like the popcorn, but I'm not in that group.
Booked through Expedia and when I arrived the young lady couldn't find my reservation. She just wouldn't help, said I had to call Expedia,so I did. I called them and they called her and walked her through process over the phone and she finally found the reservation. The whole process took about an hour or more. It would not have been that big of a deal except it was late, I had been driving all day and I just wanted a room. Also, I asked the same young lady if I could just book another room and she told me the hotel was full. Minutes later another person came in to book and the guy working at the counter said they had plenty of rooms to book.
TREzATED very rudely by the desk clerk, kimi upon checking in she stated that I didn;t have a reservation and I politely showed her my confirmation number from you. Still was handled very rudely
Nothing - the outside was nice, the inside was retro 1980 - and very cramped especially the bathroom. They did not have our reservation in their system. It caused us to worry as we were driving and the room was overpriced for what we received - a small low grade room.
Nothing The Hotel is located in a very seedy part of Amarillo, TX. We had to wait 15 minutes to check-in as there was only one staff member on duty. We were expecting a smoke-free room, upon opening the door we were overwhelmed by the smell of stale cigarette smoke and a room that was stifling hot. Upon inspection of the room we found dead bugs lying on the bathroom floor and towels, face cloths and wash cloths for 2, when we had advised and booked for 3 adults. When requesting additional were advised that the hotel was out of additional bathroom towels etc. until the next day. The bedding that was used on our beds the 2nd day had fresh blood on the sheet. The breakfast provided was of such poor quality and the breakfast room so dirty and unclean we opted to go out for our morning meal rather than take the chance of becoming ill from the food and/or the open, overflowing trash containers. The Hotel, as a whole is dirty, and desperately needs to be closed until it has had a COMPLETE overhaul and a clean bill of health from the health department. Wyndham Hotel group needs to visit both of the Baymont's located in Amarillo and close them until they are redone to a much higher standard or better yet level them, as they are 20 years past their use by date.
Good water pressure. Friendly staff. Very dirty and outdated
Breakfast was good The room was dank and smelly. The faucet in the tub could not be adjusted for heat of the water. The carpet was damp.
