It was very clean, the staff was very nice The walls were rather thin. We could hear EVERYTHING our neighbors were doing.
Clean rooms, housekeeping service was excellent. Breakfast was ok. The property was easily accessible - I did not notice any street noise (our room did face the street). People had noisy dogs, didn't appear to clean up after them. Smoking was occurring right in front of the exit - my children and I had to walk through nasty cigarette smoke.
Location was central and a short drive to beach. House keeping didn't give a towel or washcloth per person, which is odd. Took dirty towels but didn't replace them. Shower had mold and mildew in it. When we went to pool there were never clean towels.
Hotel was clean and staff was very friendly and accommodating. Staff was always ready with a suggestion for lunch, dinner, and activities with the kids. Tobias (at the front desk) helped us plan, showed us locations on the map, and gave us brochures and info. You could tell that the the staff genuinely took pride in their jobs. We hope to go back again next year! No complaints at all.
Service, amenities and location were excellent. Will stay here on next visit to Wilmington. Could only give four stars for cleanliness of bath room. There was mold on tub surround bottom and vertical seam at corner of wall tub surround.
The room itself was spacious and the lobby and pool area was nice. My wife said that the breakfast was delightful. We were place in a room next to the stairwell and outdoor exit, connected to a room where a man was clearly verbally abusing his significant other and physically abusing their dog. I was finally forced to ask management to quite them down, and they were still going at it at 2 AM. The "kicker" is we were placed in a handicap room, which, by all rights, should be reserved for people with physical disability. What if someone disabled actually needed that room? I was glad we only staid for the night.
That I couldn't spend more time there
The hotel was undergoing renovations in the lobby, fitness and breakfast areas. So check-in took longer than to be expected and hot breakfast was not available. Although, cold items such as bagels, cereal, etc. were offered and coupons to nearby restaurants was provided as a consolation. The thin walls. I could hear my neighbors laughing and chatting. Thankfully, I was too tired to let that deter me from sleeping. I also think the price per night should have been a bit lower to accommodate the renovation challenges. Discount coupons for breakfast helped, but there were similarly priced hotels nearby that would have provided better amenities - sans the construction.
It was a wonderful stay! The breakfast they served was amazing, and the staff was extremely courteous and professional
I loved that it was in walking distance of restaurants, bars, etc. The room was a little small
Staff very helpful. Breakfast attendant deserves credit and probably a raise for her conscientiousness and management. Other staff also friendly and helpful. Photo of hotel from waterside (building's side) on website is interesting but does not do justice to the hotel, which is more attractive seen on person (from front) and fits in well with those buildings neighboring it. Room furnishings were clean, but insubstantial.
Location Upgraded to water front room got room over roof and Hugh ac unit, not much of a waterfront
Great riverside view, you can see the battles go from the room. Unfriendly staff
The room was clean and the staff was helpful and friendly. The restaurants on site were excellent. Parking was reasonably priced also. Nothing. Everything was as expected for Hilton.
