Clean, comfortable, extremely affordable. Very friendly staff in a good location.
I was going through kayak with BOOKING.com and they over booked and my reservation was invalid. I was not charged but when your planning a trip it was very inconvenient since there was no other available motels in the area I had to cancel my entire trip. Not happy!
I liked that every morning they were busy bright and early cleaning the rooms. They left the doors open and you could see them cleaning and smell the cleaning products. You didn't have to doubt that beds were changed as you saw them collecting sheets. The breakfast area was spotless and constantly being stocked. Often it ran pass 10:00am if there was a large number still eating. The staff was friendly and helpful from checking in, to housekeeping and maintenance when I accidentally shut off the switch to the refrigerator. Beds were comfortable. Room was spacious. Don't judge it by its cover. May not be the most luxurious but a great value and great find.
The rooms facing the highway get all the road noise. It sounds like the window is open. We walked in the room and immediately walked back to the desk and asked for a room facing away from the highway. The clerk refused to move us because their policy was that housekeeping must clean the room after you enter and the did not have housekeepers available. I asked her to let the manager know we were dissatisfied with that response. Never heard from the manager. We do not recommend staying here. This was Sunday 8/21/16 around 9:00 pm (in case the manager wants to identify the clerk on duty).
As with most hotels in Marquette, it's a mid quality hotel. It is very well taken care of, and the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. It's about five miles from downtown, so a bit further than most, but at an excellent price.
Perfect location downtown. Easy walking distance to stores, waterfront, many brewpubs and excellent dining. In the historic 'heart' of Marquette.
I stayed at another hotel a mile down the street called country inn a week before which was cheaper and nicer place that offered a continental breakfast. Ramada didn't offer a breakfast for the price I paid I would have thought it would. I was traveling with my young son who really wanted to go in the hot tub, so we asked if we could use the hot tub 30 min before it was scheduled to open and was denied. The heater in the room kept us up all night as well, making a knocking noise. The key had to be swiped four or five times before our room would open. Stay somewhere else
