just okay Extremely old building, needs upgrading
I don't love the cops knocking on my door at 8:30 am and making my fiancee get up to show what he's wearing. It's the ghetto. Run.
I liked that they offered a nice breakfast with our stay. The beds were nice and big. The water to shower was cold, had almost NO hot water. Others staying on the same floor were so loud at 3:00 in the morning I called up to the front desk and it appeared there were several other complaints. After they finally stopped the loud conversation, they spent the next hour opening and letting the door slam. Needles to say we didn't slee well
Easy to find, close to my event, Valet was very professional, nice, helpful, friendly This hotel was a very big disappointment compared to the Radisson in Kalamazoo. It is old, out of date, run down and expensive for the quality of stay When I commented to the staff they agreed and said the were thinking of updating
I used to stay at this facility frequently when it was a Hampton Inn (about a year ago or so). I didn't realize that ownership changed and they were now a Comfort Inn. I found them through Kayak and I'm glad I did! The room was quiet, clean and comfortable. I didn't take advantage of the fitness area, pool, or breakfast, but I know they were all there for me. I'll be back! It's located near an interstate freeway and I was a little afraid that the room might be noisy, but it wasn't bad at all. About the only complaint I can note is that the wired internet cable they provided didn't work (the wall jack just had a hole in it, with nothing for the cable to connect to). The wireless access was free; they provided credentials on the outside of the holder for the room keys; it worked great - so it was no big deal.
Wonderful breakfast! Friiendly staff and enjoyed the stay very much! Liked everything!
My son had a basketball tournament here in town for the weekend and our stay was great. Very close to all his games, close to all restaurants and the highway.
Comfortable bedding, microwave and fridge in room, queen beds rather than just doubles. Plenty of parking Under staffed, swimming pool was down for maintenance, water literally came up the sink drain and filled the bathroom sink at 11pm making extreme noise. If there was another hotel within 10 miles, would not have stayed here.
Nothing good Pool has been closed for a long time. Staff never cleaned room. No new towels. Front desk staff very unprofessional and untrained.. was denied the $30 discount because I booked my room through. Kayak.
Close to campus Bed was very hard.
Co-location with University Club facilities nice. U-Club dining good, but bar closes early if in need of late night, and a very long and confusing walk from the hotel. U-Club health facility appeared nice, but they would not allow under 18, even with a parent, despite hotel telling us it was acceptable. We were there in winter, so no pool available, but it appeared lovely assuming East Lansing will ever thaw out. One of the worst hotel beds ever. Virtually no water pressure for shower. Leak (repaired) in ceiling. Dated decor and musty smell. They claim a proposed redo is in progress and it appeared to be addressing some of the above concerns
