its down town, close to everything. staff was great. very clean. rooms were kind of small and the walls were thin you can hear everyone in the halls and the rooms on either side.
Location, walking distance to food, drinks, shopping Cost, plumbing issues, elevators, sound issues. Super expensive, but the location is great. It's the only hotel in the heart of downtown, that's why they gouge ya. Jerks.
Very low hot water pressure in shower, did not deliver chocolate strawberries to my room like they were supposed to
160.00 a night on a weekend? 15 a day for parking?
Nothing I would recommend this hotel. It was centrally located in downtown Kalamazoo MI. My husband is a retired Delta pilot who has traveled the world and he rated our stay at the hotel, excellent! He ordered room service while we were there and the food was delicious.
My adult daughter did not sleep well because sound carried via room vent from room next door.
Luxury hotel. Restaurants on floor level. Hair in tub.
This is not my first stay but was the worst. My young brother in law left an item in the room and when we xame back for it they said it wasn't there and wouldn't let us go check ourselves. We knew we left ut on the bed so someone there kept it.
Not clean, cold hardwood floors, best to wear socks...or for safety's sake, hip waders...when walking around the room. "Free" wifi was slower than the old 56K dial-up modems, couldn't even get enough signal strength (AT&T) to make telephone calls. Upon checking out early, the desk clerk didn't even ask why - I assume this thing happens to them a lot. For a few dollars more, I checked into Microtel by Wyndham on the west side of Kalamazoo. Clean, modern, well-appointed, working wifi, free continental breakfast. Worth it!
Loved the room. People there very nice. Convenient to expressway. Tv sucked. Snowy picture.
Staff was friendly, quiet, close to alot. That breakfast want available for the price.
Very quiet and close to dinning. Price was right. No outdoor electric outlets.
Pergo floors instead of carpet, BUT they were very dirty. Good for traveling with pets. They obviously dosed the rooms with Febreeze, which I am very allergic to. Had to switch rooms after instant asthma attack, and leave the door open with the fans on full force for an hour plus. Then, in the morning, instead of the wakeup call I'd asked for, I awoke to the smell of cigarette smoke coming in the fan blowing outside air in. Obviously, my neighbor was getting his first cig of the day in, outside my room. Later, they both retreated to their car for a smoke, which meant their car exhaust filled my room. I shut the fan off at that point, of course. Not cool, especially for anyone with respiratory issues. Naively, I thought "100% Smoke Free!" indicated a commitment to better breathing practices on the corporate level, but it's just a marketing gimmick. Very disappointed.
My room was big and comfortable and well-kept. The rooms have recently been renovated and feature hardwood floors and new dressers and beds, The clerk was very helpful and friendly and amusing. Great place for the value. TV was on the small side. Shower hardware was a little old. Otherwise, everything was great.
had a bed and tv I checked in and made my way to the room, which smelled like smoke and/or mold, immediately I started getting headaches and sneezing. Many people were smoking outside and AC was on, so I think it was drawing in outside air. There were also dirt piles in the corners, and toilet was in bad shape. Went in for a refund, and they asked if I wanted to see another room. The second room didn't smell as bad, so I took it.
There was nothing that I liked about this hotel The pool was dirty and a nasty green color. They claimed the levels her safe but you couldn't even see the bottom of it. All of the craftsmanship on the hotel was gross. No warm water or water pressure. It smelled. It was just a gross hotel and VERY over priced. DO NOT STAY HERE. They were understaffed on a holiday weekend and the manager didn't even bother to come in and help out. Worst hotel experience ever. To top it off- the remote was taped together with a tacky stripped duct tape.
We were given a handicap room which was very large and comfortable. The bed was huge and clean and comfy. This is a simple hotel, but if you're not going to be in your hotel a lot, it's perfect House keeping showed up at 9am and tried to come in about 5 times.
I've stayed here in the past with no problems and gave high ratings, but this time the room was not clean. I was too tired to deal with it that night as I arrived late in the evening, but the NEW manager in the morning took care of it immediately and gave me a Full refund and apology! She said improvements were coming. I will give them another try next time I need to stay in Kalamazoo.
Room was clean, staff was friendly Continental breakfast could have been better
Loved the room, friendly staff. The woman running breakfast had no clue. When we got there, there were no hot entrees. I asked if we could have some more scrambled eggs, and she explained that there had been a rush, and it would be a small wait. Fine - until I looked around for something else to eat. No fruit, no knives, no milk, no oatmeal. The trash was overflowing. And in the middle of it was this woman asking everyone who came in if she could help them, then explaining that she couldn't.
The hallways and stairwells were dirty. They did not clean our room or bring clean towels. People were hanging around the entrances Lot of fighting, use of fowl language and arguing in the halls One of the worst places I have stayed
This was an inexpensive hotel with a pool, continental breakfast, and two king-sized beds and conveniently located right off of I-94. The pool, breakfast, and bathroom were small and the building was dated. Housekeeping woke us up on the day we were checking out wanting to clean the room.
