There is plenty of room to park a boat, trailer etc…. The bathroom has recently been remodeled and has a new shower in place of the garden tub. The bedroom has a portable, powerful a/c with a remote control that allows you to control the room temperature. There is also a heater, an electric fireplace, television, ceiling fan, microwave, coffee pot, and a mini-fridge. The back porch is also private and shaded. We are located in a quiet and safe neighborhood. The bedroom and bathroom stay locked off from rest of the house. We provide clean linens, towels, soap and coffee filters. We do not provide food or drink. We are a half mile from the bay with great fishing /dock/landing/park, 3 miles from the Apalachicola River/downtown, and 15 minutes from beautiful St. George Island to our east. 15-20 minutes to our west are the beaches of PSJ, Indian Pass and Cape San Blas. Mecico Beach is just west of PSJ. Enjoy historic Apalachicola!

A boutique Inn featuring four unique rooms, the Bowery Inn offers privacy and charm along with the convenience of a central location. Popham's Place is in the west corner of the building and offers wonderful natural lighting through its five windows. It has a king size bed, a stand-alone closet with plenty of storage, and a small desk. The private bathroom has a walk-in bathtub and shower. This room has easy access to the shared porch. The Bowery Inn is a self-catering facility without a permanent on-site operator. Daily in room housekeeping services are not provided. The common area of the Inn is for our guest’s convenience with a refrigerator and sitting area. A Keurig coffee station and plenty of bottled water and ice are provided. Please respect the quiet times in the common area and outside decks, the building is authentic with little sound insulation. There is also a laundry room equipped with two washers and two dryers. The beautifully hand-crafted stairwell is the only access to the upstairs Inn. With no elevator, unfortunately we are not ADA accessible. No TV. Check in time is 3PM, check out is 11AM. Each piece of wood and decor was hand selected and strategically placed to preserve the look and feel of the space as lived in and enjoyed by the generations that came before us. Guests are able to enjoy a genuine “old fashioned” experience without the distractions of televisions or telephones, while being fully WiFi accessible. Viewing of the Apalachicola River and the downtown area can be enjoyed from over 1000 square feet of covered deck. A small, open-aired viewing deck above the second floor overlooking the Apalachicola River is excellent for morning coffee, evening drinks or yoga. The Inn is quietly nestled in the historic downtown Bowery District within walking distance of all shopping and nationally recognized restaurants.
