We liked the public spaces, the decore and the location. All were excellent. The room was had a lovely decor but was very small. No place for luggage or place for clothling. There were hooks and the wall with hangars. Anymore than a one night over night would have been difficult. Breakfast was very minimal, staff in am was cranky.
Beautiful old building and bar. Friendly service.Near the Ithaca Commons. NO CLOSETS OR DRAWERS in the bedroom--nowhere to put our clothes. Bar closes at 10p, but it's still loud on bench outside our room. Apple TV is nice, but NO access to live local or network TV stations to watch football game. No hot breakfast.
The facilities were beautiful. But with only maybe 6 guests in the entire place I would have expected them to space us out some instead of putting guests right across the hall from eachother. And the room doors had a tendency to slam which caused some disruption to our sleep when the other guests went in and out of their room late in the evening.
It was clean and comfortable the desk personnel were the best we've ever met and we've been all around the world. restaurant there wasn't one
Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable although older. Location was central to Ithaca so one could get around easily. Price doubled during the period when students were moving in. Given the age and style of the hotel, this made it way over-priced. In the building I was in, there was no internet. I had to go to the office and sit in a conference room to use it. Not unpleasant, but inconvenient.
The hotel was clean. It was quite. The location to downtown was excellent. It was a great 2 star hotel. The beds were not firm and the bed linens were low quality. It should be noted that it was on a busy street though we were not bothered by traffic at all.
Friendly staff, enormous rooms. Noise isolation is poor, every word spoken in the corridor can be heard clearly in the rooms.
