La comida Que llovio mucho y no pudimos disfrutar todo
The food was good. We had different options throughout the whole day. Never went hungry. Staff at the restaurant and bars very nice Check in and out was horrible!. Very understaffed and unprofessional. Took about an hour to check in and about hour to check out.
Everything was excellent , I have been in a more expensive resort that offer me the same comforter , I highly recommend this resort to everyone Everything was excellent
Best food I have had at an all inclusive in Puerto Plata. Staff was very friendly with lots of activities. Service in restaurants was incredible, by day two Domingo knew what we wanted and had it ready for every meal by the time we were there. Top shelf liquors available at select bars, safe is free, casino is right next door, beautiful beach, close to airport and city, would likely go back. We had 24 people come from 15 to 78 and all had a great time (and not one person was ill from food) Definitely more family oriented than for younger people, rooms were a bit dated... We had an outlet hanging out and a fridge that didn't work (we weren't in there very much), restaurant reservations can be hard to come by (if you get one go Japanese, by far the best) , less beach people trying to push excursions than other places but still there (they are honest and had better deals for the same stuff as the resort, IE we had resort goers in our group set up by the beach guys, but we paid a lot less), good liquor is really only found at the front bar
Weather , staff from other hotels bugging in beachfront , loud bad music at restaurant
Yes. very much,. But the hotel was super, super, super good. the staff was excellent. the rooms clean. the people simply lovely. I will go back there again. yes. yes.yes. The cheek in process was very bad. blue bay did not have my reservation details. I had to wait for almost 30 mins to be cheeked in. very poor.
When they checked me in my room which was marginal at best...the door was wide open to the outside allowing Mosquitos to enter . The room was loaded with them!!! Rather then giving me another room, they brought in a can of raid.I then took control and sprayed the the place down. I then left for a few hours and on return...more Mosquitos to find.I then learned that the windows, behind the drapes had been left open as well in both the bedroom and bathroom....I sprayed again then left for a few more hours.they said that they wood deliver a can of Raid to the room and leave for me to use as needed.i got caught up in the activities provided and didn't return to my room until midnight.Yes...more mosquitos flying around and on the walks and ceiling.I then went to the front desk and asked for the spray they didn't deliver and was told that house keeping was closed and to come back in the morning.i told them that I was going to sleep in the lobby. They then gave me a huge blanket and said for me to cover myself from head to toe and they would take care of things until the morning.Im glad I brought insect repellent and littelery covered my entire body with It !!! I then covered myself with the blanket as they said and needless to say....Didn't sleep but a wink!!! Also, the room they set me up in was a the end of their prosperity on the line with a shabby fence separating me from the jungle. The room had nonfunctional AC controls ! As I was returning to my room that evening to retire, i can around the corner to find a security guy tucked in the corner of my building which anyone would have freeked out for he was in a dark space.I then learned from him that he was going to stay all night because the locals come to their properity to rob the guest!!! As I watched him for a while from my window, he kept quietly walking up and down the side of the fence stoping and listening for intruders. Thank God I was there for only one night! The bottom line is! If you value your life....STAY AWAY! I will be posting this on YouTube soon!
Small but cute, room was awesome, food there are not too much variety but pretty good flavor on everything.
Probably one of the best hotels I have stayed at in Puerto Plata and I have been to five of them. Gorgeous views, courteous staff, all your needs addressed, good food, only place I have stayed as a resort/hotel that actually has Dominican food. It was not all inclusive. Food and drinks are seperate. However the prices are reasonable and the week was cheaper than I expected. Next time knowing that I will just budget differently.
I LIKED EVERYTHING!!!!! EVERYTHING WAS EXELLENT!!
This was my second time staying here and it is 100% better. The rooms are updated and they are really nice, the restaurant was updated and that too was really nice. The food was amazing! We are very well. The entertainment was cute and funny, the whole family enjoyed it. Most of all, the staff were all amazing. Everyone always had a smile on their face and they were always eager to help. We had 13 people and the moved tables, chairs so we could all eat together. They even sang to my sister in law for her birthday. Great place, we'll be back again next year!
I was pretty pleased. I like the design and set up of everything. I liked the beach huts that protect you from the sun and the pool was very nice. Maybe it just wasn't very busy when we went (May 19 - 24) but I didn't think it was too crowded and could always find a chair by the pool or a hut on the beach. I found plenty of food to keep me satisfied. Restaurant food was really good. Be sure to take advantage of being able to eat at each one once a week. This was my first all inclusive - I found it to be well worth the money for my group of 3, sharing 1 room with 2 beds. They have a stone called Larimar, only found in the DR, which is beautiful shades of blue, the beach vendors have a lot of lovely larimar jewelry - I highly recommend getting a piece for yourself. Negotiate but remember the individuals selling stuff only get a cut of the profit and they most likely have families to feed. I bought from a few. If you are looking for jewelry, ask for Julio and tell him Cara sent you! Beds weren't very comfortable but not horrible either. Not good for side sleepers - that's for sure, but not as bad as some reviewers made them out to be. I brought my own pillow too based on some of the reviews I read. Some of the staff was not too friendly. Learn some Spanish if you don't know any, that helps increase their friendliness and helpfulness towards you. One helper in the dining room pressured me to drink alcohol which I found really annoying, but that was only 1 guy out of many others who were very friendly and helpful. With some dishes it was difficult to tell if there was meat in them, it would be nice if they added ingredient lists at the buffet but the "healthy" section that contained 3 meatless options always had something I liked so I was pleased. The music at night was kind of annoying when trying to go to sleep early, but I'm pretty sure it never went past midnight. The people selling stuff on the beach can be extremely annoying/presistent, but I don't blame really blame them because they are doing what they can to get by.
Staff, location, breakfast by the beach Only their local low grade alcohol was included/one restaurant needed an appointment and the other you had to pay for
The pool and the beach were beautiful There was no variety in the food . The entertainment was mediocre. Expresso was only available after 10am which I find ridiculous since espresso is usually drank for breakfast. I've traveled to other resorts in that strip and I prefer Barcelo which is next to Grand Paradise . The front desk receptionists are very rude.
I liked the beach near by. As well as the city and other turist atraction out of the hotel were close by Internet (wifi) was not included and to pay for the service was too expensive. I wished they would have charged me in dollars instead of pesos.
