i liked the staff. very polite and accommodating the pool was filthy. the guests were dirty. elevators leaked water from ceiling. it was busy and not very private. the ocean had lots of dangerous waves and jelly fish. food was mediocre. there was construction going on and it was very loud!!!! could not sleep in! it is far from the city.
I loved staying at this hotel and I felt completely at home. Room with the ocean view is amazing. Private beach area for those staying at the hotel. Complimentary breakfast buffet is great but get there early. Staff is amazing. This hotel also has many activities for guests. I would suggest to book their all inclusive package. I enjoyed their "Viva México" show at their theatre. I did not get to enjoy the pools because you have the beach right at you doorstep however the pools did look very nice. All in all I cannot wait to go back!
Italian Dinner Restaurant has pretty good food. Pools are very nice and I believe they are salt water pools. No more smelling like chlorine or burning eyes. Activities are good The only bad thing about this hotel is that they ask for your bracelet number for everything, which slows down the process to get anything. Instead of going straight to the bar and ordering a drink, you have to wait in line behind people ordering food, in order to order a drink. Need to start a scanning process in order to speed up things.
Pretty view from our beachfront room. Everything is by the book. Not a good, fun feeling. They have the cruise crowd in which overtakes the whole resort- obnoxious. The lovely pool pictures on the website is freezing. The pools that are warm are trashy.
I liked the view. The location was good. Most of the staff was unfriendly. There was little or no hot water in the room. There were loud bands most of the night. When we checked in we did not receive any maps or help about the area. The staff spoke very little English. We regret going there.
Everyone was super nice great service it was totally worth it. Wifi was the only problem. It was terrible.
By the beachfront in a clean beautiful site Close to restaurants and bars, they also have sport activities They have all inclusive and none inclusive and for what I paid it was expensive non all inclusive. They charge $ 15.00 dollars to use their W F. Per day.
Love this place! Great beach, good location right in the golden zone, and hotel has and old world Spanish feel. Will be coming back here for sure!
Staff are really good and the location is excellent. I stayed almost 9 days in the hotel and It is one of the best hotel. The staffs helped me alot bcz i don't know spanish.
Beautiful vieuw at the beach. The cleaning service, at the hotel is very good. Hotel is near shopps, discotheak and restaurants. Swimmingpools are not clean enough. The towels are very old, they are washed to many times, should be replaced . some other maintance at the hotel is necesairy.
The staff is very friendly, called us by name, very clean -- if we neeed or wanted anything- they were veryquick and efficient No, it was great location
The staff is their biggest asset for sure. Well the loud speaker for the pool activities was a little overboard.
I loved the location of the hotel. Right on the beach and loved that 3 of the el cid hotels are on the same property so many pools to choose from. Right next to señor frogs which has open bar on Wednesday and Friday which is so fun! Very loud. Under construction?? Can hear everything.
They are always cleaning! Necessary when you are right on the beach, but still impressive. Constant sweeping. The A/C worked well in my room, but not in my friends' room. Although the beds were hard, they managed to be very comfortable for me. Several English tv channels. It is right on the beach! Nice to be able to just walk right there and also to have the view. NOISY! I had a room overlooking the pool, but also the beach. My room had very little insulation from the noise on the beach (bands) or down below (poolside entertainment) OR next door (through the adjoining door). In fact, every afternoon, my room also smelled like frying food from the pool restaurant. The sounds of the waves in the middle of the night were very strong, too! I also went to perhaps the best quality restaurant there (La Concha) and had a delicious meal, which I then vomited up a few hours later. I was surprised that, as careful as I was about eating only trustworthy places and foods, that cooked fish, vegetables and rice would finally get me. Towel service was spotty. They would come get the dirty towels early in the day and not clean the room until late afternoon, so if you needed a shower mid-day, you might have been without a towel. I rarely was provided with hand towels and washcloths both. They try very hard to get you to buy a timeshare. No desire, with an experience like this.
