LOVED the place! I booked AND paid for a room with a private patio! When I arrived, the hotel had NO knowledge, that I wanted the patio! Definitely NOT the hotels fault! The ONLY ' complaint ' about hotel was their lack of vending ( besides ice ) I had two toddlers with me, requiring SEVERAL trips to the lobby/front desk, where they have a Sundry, with a rather limited selection; a bit on the spendy side!
Very nice decor and furnishings. The beds were comfortable. It was located near restaurants and shopping.
Very good quality shampoo, soap etc.. Robes in the room, plenty of thick towels, helpful staff, nicely decorated with mints on pillow. Outside 'fire pit' with smores fixings in the evening (complimentary). Just an over all plesant stay! The only downside was the distance to down town but that was off set by the quietness.
Was pleased with the look, feel and comfort of this hotel.
Very nice hotel but pricey. Once you get past the lobby the room was typical of any one of 10 hotel chains, so the issue of value depends on how you will use the first floor amenities (see below). My sister stayed in another chain hotel closer to town and I could not tell the difference between rooms, and she paid a lot less. IMO the location alone is not worth a lot more $$. Pros: its nearer the rodeo but we still had to drive due to crossing the highway (and we attended the rodeo only once in our 5-day visit). Con: this hotel is away from town. Caveat: another pro is a grat mountain view if you are lucky enough to get it (see below). The lobby was very nicely appointed with wonderful seating areas (tea and cookies in the afternoon!), free wifi, a pool and exercise room, nice business area with computers available, a GREAT breakfast, ample parking, and a courteous staff. The fire pit outside runs all night for that 'we don't care about global warming' touch. Same for the fireplace i...
In March 2009 we made reservations for 2 nights in August at The Cody Hotel. We were driving in from Yellowstone Natl. Park. Since it was getting late in the evening, I called The Cody to let them know that we were on our way - even though we had a guaranteed late arrival. The clerk on the phone indicated that was fine, and they would see us when we got there. What a shock we had waiting for us! When we arrived, we were told that the hotel was overbooked due to a wedding that day, and the hotel did not have a room for us. The front desk clerk said that the hotel had been trying to reach us but had only our home number. The hotel then informed us that it had made arrangements for us at another local hotel. We knew that they were not being honest because our adult daughter was at home, and she had not gotten any phone call or message from this hotel. This hotel may have nice accommodations, etc., but clearly its business practices are not honest. Obviously, weddings are not pla...
We had a great 2 night stay here. It is in a good location, as we could walk to the Cody Rodeo. The Cody Museum was awesome, too. My family spent almost the entire day there. The pool was fine, breakfast was good, and the room was comfortable and nicely decorated.
This hotel is at the edge of town away from tourist congestion but close enough that it takes two minutes to get to where the action is. Great location and experience with occasional wildlife in the parking lot. Great spot from which to venture into Yellowstone if you are not the camping type. A bit pricey but worth it if you do not want to rough it.
This was a great hotel, perfect location. Nice pool.
The Cody is probably the best in Cody, WY. Well situated for the great museum and the rodeo grounds. Rooms were very well appointed and comfortable!
The Cody is definitely the place to stay in Cody. It's conveniently located on the Yellowstone edge of town with great mountain views, but still close to restaurants and shops. The room was spotless and so comfortable. They have a complimentary breakfast, pool and hot tub, not to mention the hotel is beautiful. We couldn't have asked for more after a 12 hour drive with two small children. You won't be dissapointed.
Walking in was a real experience. The lobby was so impressive, new and clean. The staff was very accommodating and the price was great. We had a very memorable stay. Our room was very comfortable with a large bathroom, many amenities, comfortable beds and a large screen TV. I would recommend the Cody to anyone.
They said one thing on the phone regarding fees for dogs and then completely rip you off in person when you are stuck. The front desk staff treat you like crap; they should be fired!!! Also, they give yiou q-tips-mine were already used and put back-GROSS!!!!! The walls are extremely thin and you can hear everything. Nice to look at in the lobby but otherwise save your money!!
This new facility on the edge of town was delightful. While the rooms weren't particularly different from most motels, the public areas were extremely attractive and the setting was eyecatching. Located a block away from the nightly rodeao. Good quality included breakfast. Funny that they provide forks and the makings for smores in their outside gas fired campfire!
We love the bed covering of white 'sheet' rather than bedspreads! Nice quiet atmosphere. The lobby is quite a museum of animal trophies, making for a fascinating breakfast.
Good breakfast The Amerinn hotels always seem to smell musty. The breakfast that is offered is great though
Hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The location was great for it's proximity to Yellowstone - it was s beautiful drive getting to the east entrance. They charged us for a roll away bed.
