A very homey feel. I liked having real glass for our coffee mugs and drinking glasses. Furnishings, bedding and towels were worn and dated. We felt as though we were an inconvenience when we checked in. That was a turn off. The rest of the staff were very attentive and pleasant. We did not par-take in breakfast.
Close to the trans Canada as well as services. Friendly and helpful staff, clean up to date rooms. Meets everything I'm looking for after a long day of driving.
We travel lots feom AB to Ont and stay in lots of holtels. When we arrived we were greeted with friendly staff. We need a cot for our third child which was provided free of charge. It was in the room before we were able to get the kids and bags out of the car. The children enjoyed the pool and slide. The hot tub temperature was perfect. Unknown if breakfast was included as we got up late. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. I would definitely recommend the Royal Oaks for a traveling family Jets in hot tub leave much to be desired.
Location was great to get to the fair but definitely could use an upgrade. Pool was very chlorinated and poorly lit. Breakfast was okay.
The pool and hot tub area were very nice. Big pool. Rooms were clean but very small. Beds were very comfortable The hallways and front desk area were shabby looking. Fraying around the edges. Rooms small and needs updating.
My booking didn't go through so I had to upgrade and pay more (Hotels.com is to blame); changed rooms three times because I did not feel safe in the first two rooms which both had adjoining doors; phone was broken in one of the rooms; very shady customers; the deadbolt didn't even have a hole to connect in and therefore, regarded it completely useless; at least the girl at the front was helpful but only because I kept asking for other rooms.
