Bartender was great. I believe his name was Andrew. Got into Savannah early and was able to valet car. Room was great. View of river. Front desk didn't have my reservation upon check in but was handled quickly. Waited over an hour for room service when told it would be a half hour.
The hotel was so nice. We loved the river view. Nothing. Everything was great.
This Hyatt is great...centrally located to historic Savannah, and overall stood up to Hyatt quality. awesome stay! We were very surprised and disappointed to learn they would not accept our three night stay toward our Hyatt points as a preferred customer because we book through a third-party. RIDICULOUS!!! Apparently the $825 we spent wasn't appreciated. No where on our on-line reservation did it tell us that, in fact, it asked us for our Hyatt Reward number! We stayed there this time to get our points. Had we known this we would have stayed at one of the historic B&Bs. They'll be hearing from us.
The staff was great, the room was even better, one of the best hotels I have stayed in! The river view and the night life around was also very nice! Valet parking was the only option for 25. per night, but the staff there was very nice also.

Great location, hip atmosphere, comfy beds. Seems like the staff was a bit immature or possibly new working in customer service. Check in was very "relaxed", bartender not able to help w/ wine selection, hostess made us call our own petty cab & find our own plastic cups for togo drinks. Nothing major, small courtesies like these would be expected in a place like this.
The receptionist was wonderful. We had accidentally booked the wrong date. She was more Han accommodating and even upgraded our room since it was our first family vacation! She took time and printed out restaurant recommendations and a city map.
Free happy hour and coffe everyday. Great location and friendly staff.
Personnel, except for one waitress, were great. First night there was no water. It came back on at 11:00 am the next day. We were just given an apology by voice mail. On top of the inconvienance (no bathrooms working, ick) it could have been a disaster since the sprinkler system would not have worked if a fire broke out. And we were on the 13th floor. Breakfast cost us $52.00! Really!!!??
room was wonderful. Great shower, comfy bed, lots of pillows, very quiet. Always got a good nights sleep. loved the water taxi service. Room service guy was the most helpful and friendly person we dealt with the entire stay. He was great! We also liked the Green program, I like hotels that provide this option. front desk pretty much took the information and gave out keys. No information on where thing were, how to get to the water taxi, information on the different in house restaurants. We had to figure things out for ourselves and when we had to ask an employee, some were helpful and others acted like we were bothering them. I am enrolled in the starwood preferred guest program so I was expecting more helpfulness. Other Starwood properties had an info packet all ready at check in. Savannah is a destination spot so it would have been helpful if we had been given more information.
The ferry ride across the river was good The customer service was horrible. Never coming back to this resort.
For the money I paid it was a decent hotel. They say there is free hbo and show time which there is and they have hdtv's in the rooms, but the picture quality is worse than my old tube tv from the 80's. There is also a military base nearby so after 9am there are helicopters and planes flying directly overhead which makes it difficult to sleep past 9 if you've had a late night downtown.

Rooms were well kept and comfortable. It had the microwave and refrigerator. However, I would love to have a freezer section for a refrigerator, which was not there at least in my room. Would recommend it. A nice overall family experience. The serving area for breakfast was too crowded and small. It would be nice if they can increase the breakfast area.
