The staff was horrid and not at all guest-focused. I've had better service at a Super 8.
rooms were clean, a bit dated. The food and food service staff were good. The house cleaning staff was friendly and ready to help in anyway they could. Hard to find location.(sign needs updating). Desk clerk was very rude and unprofessional at check in and again at check out. We were unlucky to get the same one twice. She must be a relative of the owners. Printer in the business center needed ink. When we informed the same desk clerk and we were told, "we know". No attempt was made to fix the problem. Less than helpful. Couldn't find our reservation but offered to check us into the hotel at a higher rate.Another clerk came to our rescue.
STAFF was very polite and accomadating. room was clean and comfortable. but no Microwave! not good. we like to heat leftovers from restaurant. lobby and halls were pretty torn up almost trashy but the room was nice so we overlooked same. comparing to other hotels next time i will stay at a NEW 3 star hotel for same price. if you have a worn hotel you cannot compete with the new ones at same price
The staff were very courteous, although at times informal. The room was clean and spacious with the standard furnishings you'd expect. Breakfast was delicious- HUGE portion sizes- quick service. This was for an anniversary weekend, so I paid extra for a riverview room. At check-in, I was told they were over-booked on King rooms and I was asked if I'd rather two double beds. I asked if it was possible to keep my original reservation of a riverview room, I was told that wouldn't be an issue. We get upstairs and find a lovely view of the parking lot. Go back downstairs, address the situation with the front desk, was politely told there were no King riverview rooms available (despite having a reservation for one). I pointed out that I'd paid extra for the view and was told there would be no refund nor any sort of compensation. She gave some feeble statement on overbooking and attempted to divert the conversation to area attractions. I attempted to explain how reservations work/ethics of compensation when the product purchased is unavailable. In the end she smiled and played dumb and we paid extra for a view of a parking lot.
The staff was friendly and accommodated my request my second night. I reserved a room a few months prior to my visit for a non-smoking room. When I arrived the hotel did not honor my request and gave me a smoking room since all the non-smoking rooms were taken. I guess a reservation holding certain options doesn't hold much wait. My clothes smelt like cigarettes the next day. Not cool.
Rooms were clean and updated. Beds were comfortable. No breakfast. You have to go to the bar and by food.

The courtyard is nice. Location away from the i10, but quiet and rather central and convenient. Free laundry machines. Stiff staff never learned to smile. Outside hot tub was troublesome, had to fetch engineer twice and wait while he figured out how to make it work. Once it worked, the water jets were super weak -- when I complained, all they could say was a thin 'sorry'

I loved everything about the town surrounding the hotel. The beds were soft inside the hotel, very comfortable. This is about the only nice thing I have to say about the hotel. Will be visiting the town again soon, but WILL NOT stay here. We originally booked the hotel for it's indoor pool AND separate hot tub in the pool area. When arriving at the hotel, there was no hot tub like the pictures on the site. This was a big disappointment since this was one of the biggest reasons we even booked with them. Also, their breakfast is outrageous. $10 a person, you have to make almost all your things yourself. The only decent thing we seen on the menu was the omelets so we were willing to pay the money just to have an omelet. When getting to the window to place the order, the chef told us he is not cooking omelets right now because he was semi busy. We got out of line completely and went eat somewhere else. We stayed out of the hotel as much as possible the entire weekend
We love Hampton Inn for the cleanliness at this price. This place was no exception. Great room. We were upgraded at the front desk to accommodate or needs without any extra cost. Will continue to stay at the Hamtpon Inn every time we travel. The breakfast here was not as good as the others we have stayed at in the past. It just seemed that the breakfast was an after thought. Still , was decent in spite of the downgrade.
Not much maybe parking and front staff Room was smelly and my first sight when I pull up was a guy in his underwear on the first floor with the window cracked open smoking a cigarette. Yuck!! Then I could not sleep because there's a guy in the hallway right by my room talking on his cell phone half the night. So annoying. Stay somewhere else in Lafayette not worth what you pay.
