The staff was very friendly and supportive. The greeted us when we came and went. Breakfast was also a big plus and the variety was pretty good. The rooms were very comfortable and quiet. Although we were on the top floor, we didn't hear any noise from either guests on the sides of our room. Finally, I made a mistake booking our accommodations, and the staff worked with us to rectify our situation. Otherwise, we would have had to find another hotel. There wasn't any negative. Renovations were taking place, but we were told ahead of time of where they would be working.
I had a great experience from a the get-go, I arrived almost at midnight after a long drive from Oklahoma, the attendant at the front desk was extremely nice and helpful. Check-in was quick, easy. The rooms were great; spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was okay. More of a variety at the breakfast buffet would be nice.
Up dated room . Friendly staff .
We stayed at this Drury Inn on our way home to Nashville from Destin. After driving with 3 little ones (6 and under), we were very thankful not to have to go out for dinner. The kickback reception had very simple, but tasty food, and was extremely convenient. My husband was thrilled to have "ballpark nachoes," and I was able to make salads with pasta or a baked potato for the kids. I also really appreciated the glass of wine! The room smelled very clean upon opening the door. I can't say that about many hotels. Even the pricey beach home we were coming from lacked in cleanliness. But everything was very clean, the bathtub was appreciated as well. Everyone had a decent meal and good tubby before bed. The bed was decent, better than the Hampton Inn in Montgomery that we stayed in on the way down. Breakfast was good as well, and at both "meal times," the manager Christopher was present to schmooze and greet guests, which I found to be very surprising. The way he was conversing with some of the guests made me feel as though several of the people staying were frequent guests. I take that as a very good sign. We will be staying here again. A little far off I-65, but worth it for the extra comforts.
We liked everything about it. The staff made you feel at home and they went above and beyond to make sure your stay was perfect. It was a joy to see them whenever you where in the hotel. The rooms were awesome and always kept clean! We stayed for our anniversary for the second time and plan on staying from here on out.
My mother and I stayed at the Hyatt Wynfrey for the Alabama Dental Alumni Weekend. She is a hygienists and I am a dentist, so we enjoyed the convience. She is a diabetic, recovering from a broken hip so it was nice having her so close to her conferences. I liked having the fitness room just a few doors down from our room. I liked the sensor nite lite on the night stand for my mother getting up in the night. (One broken hip is enough) II did not see any evidence of green...no recycling, reusing sundries (like the Embassy Suites), etc. The staff weren't aware of any such efforts.
It was connected to a mall which was nice to kill my time until my flight the next day.
The place was gorgeous for the money I spent. Staff were helpful. There is a Starbucks in there!! We reserved thru Kayak. The fine print states cannot guarantee 2 double beds. We were traveling with our older children and they had to sleep on sofa beds in each room after traveling for 12 hours via car.The Ice machine did not work on second floor. The housekeeping came and tossed sheets and blankets at us. I told her you come back and fix these sofa beds. We were tired I just wanted to jump in a bed and sleep but I was having to deal with the bed situation.
I liked how they worked with me to find my reservation since booking.com didn't give a hotel confirmation number. But the hotel overall was very nice. Quiet, helpful, and in a good location of the town.
It was very clean. All of the staff was very nice. It has a beautiful hotel and in a great area for visiting the zoo. The only thing I didn't like was not having a complimentary breakfast. But the breakfast at River City Grill was very good just a little over priced
