(1) Good ambience (2) Good security (3) Good staff service and hospitality (4) decent restaurants inside the hotel (1) Charged for pickup from airport! (2) Pool is not temperature controlled (water was uncomfortably warm) (3) There was constant construction noise (4) The AC broke down and we had to change rooms there were more stuff which was not upto standard as well including breakfast, jacuzzi
Service and location are excellent. A bit dated, but good service. Omelette in the Club lounge was terrific but staff was stretched too thin. Our main issue is that the hotel needs a major update, even though existing old facilities still are well maintained and retain charm. The service was very good. Its still a race between the Taj and the Leela Palace, but the the Leela feels more up to date.

I am a global traveler and spend a good amount of time in hotels. This got to be one of the worst Hotels I have seen anywhere across the globe. Five Star rating for this Hotel is a joke. To name a few terrible experiences at this place: 1) I was put up on the 5th floor. As soon as you step out of elevator you get a pungent and nauseating smell due to ongoing construction/painting activity. I am surprised that they put guests on this floor. 2) Shoddy and cheap rooms. I am sorry to say this but the fact is you do not see quality anywhere. There were stains on sheets. Blankets were terrible and I was afraid to even touch them. 3) Unprofessional staff both at main entrance and front desk checkin. At main front entrance, unprofessional staff swarm you every time you step in or out of building and I have noticed staff arguing among themselves in front of guests. 4) Lack of Rest Rooms (Bath Rooms) in common areas. There is only one small rest room in main reception checkin and restaurant area. Bottom line avoid this Hotel at all costs.
Location!! After my booking, Hyatt was trying to overcharge me despite what i received in the confirmation (Thanks God i kept a copy of it). When i raised the question for the overcharge, they tried to lie and after 10 minutes of argument, they adjusted the bill but they made it sound like they did me a favor. I also did not receive any perks despite my Hyatt Platinum status.
