Good location, pretty basic but nothing was really lacking. Price seemed kinda high but that's more Juneau as a whole vs this one particular location. Shuttle service was a nice bonus. Overall a pretty good place to stay - the smaller suite would be good for a group or family as well.
Nice, clean, no frills and centrally located. You have to make sure to follow up on all requests. Staff is not really on top of things and they get very easily distracted. Had to remind the front desk five times about a morning shuttle and still didn't get it down.
I stay in Juneau almost every quarter, so I feel like I have a solid bench mark of the hotels available. This hotel does the trick and is slightly above average for the city. Staff was way above average with friendliness and incredibly accommodating. The old school metal keys as opposed to the key cards.
Comfortable bed. Clean bathroom. Nice large wood floored closet upon entry to keep all luggage in. Close location to downtown. Very hot room. Only a thin pad and flat sheet on bed. Would have liked more bed linens. Dark room, outdated decor. I was very nervous about cleanliness but it looked good.
This hotel has a unique charm to it...old, in the heart of downtown and in the middle of the Juneau party!! The suites are the way to go, otherwise you share a bathroom and shower with others. Everything is nice enough, beds are decently comfy, no frills or excess, just enough to provide for a good place to crash after your adventure filled day. Good price in comparison to other hotels in the area. We stayed during a rare sunny & warm week in Juneau and our room was HOT!! Nothing as far as ventilation or fans to circulate air. No screens to open windows without bugs coming in.
We appreciated the friendliness, efficiency, and obvious caring that we experienced in all of our interactions with each member of the team.
I discovered the SilverBow two years ago and couldn't wait to return to Juneau to stay there. It was the perfect blend of quirky, stylish and comfort. Every detail has been considered. Wonderful hospitality. The location can't be better. The only issue was that my room faced the street, so at 2am after the bars closed things got noisy.
Beds and pillows were comfortable. The list is long. Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Worst management I ever everencountered. They don't even have a card key entry at the front door and the night clerk locks the door and disappears leaving guest locked out. Fortunately the dumpy handicap studio room #1470 they gave me had a door leading to the intersection although I paid for a 1 bedroom queen suite. They tried to overcharge me over my quoted rate, worked on trying to check me in 45 minutes+. Assured me they would correct the price. Then a similar bunch more bs upon check out including they didn't have any more 1 bedroom queen suites so upgraded my room to the handicapped studio converted office. This room is like an office converted to makeshift room. Be very skeptical of positive reviews. Not sure what type of motels these positive posters are use to staying. The Four Points hotel I highly recommend.
