Great value bed was very comfortable. Room was spotless everything was great. Good breakfast helpful staff I am elderly traveling alone and the housekeeping staff helped me to the elevator to check out first time that happened in any hotel they volunteered I did not have to ask. Highly recommend
Beds are comfortable Staff is friendly and helpful Decent location Walls are a bit thin.
Clean rooms, friendly staff, eefficient check in and out, tasty breakfast, easy to find, plenty of parking, and very close to where we needed to go.
great room no pool
My husband and I came to Fairbanks to see aurura in early November. we enjoyed our stay here .The room is big and clean.we booked a king bed room. Its so conmfortable. Its totally worthy the price.Whats more，the hotel is located in downtown fairbanks. Its easy to go everywhere if u have a car.
Room did not have a small refrigerator
I was staying here because of proximity to airport for early morning departure. The staff was helpful and accommodating. When I needed a ride (shuttle was included) and the shuttle was not yet running because of early hour, they provided a voucher to cover cab costs. Also had breakfast available early so I could grab a bite. The room was clean, efficient, bedding very comfortable. I would definitely recommend it. They also had the hotel decorated with some interesting old Fairbanks/Alaska photographs that were actually worth a walk around to see. Because of winter hours (dead of winter, I might add), there was no food service or gift shop service available on Mondays or Tuesdays, so I had no other option for meals beyond ordering in by phone. They did provide coffee and hot water, in addition to in-room coffee making facilities and a microwave for reheating. Even with this, I'd still stay here again.
Very nice and clean room with a very comfortable bed. Great shower. Plenty of parking. Pet friendly.
Very close to the airport. Hotel offers courtesy shuttle. If you reach after hours, you can take a YellowCab or Eagle Cab and hotel will cover the charge. Breakfast selection was decent, not great. Scrambled eggs, waffle maker, pastries, biscuit and gravy and coffee/tea/hot chocolate. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Hotel is under renovation. Rooms in the first floor still have strong paint smell and noise from renovation in the second floor. Rooms with stove feel small as all the rooms are of the same size and the stove/counter takes up a lot of space. We switched from a room with stove to one without, which felt a little bigger. Staff could have been more knowledgeable. We went mainly to see the Aurora Borealis. The staff didn't have any good suggestions for good spots around the town where visibility would be good. Also, we asked about dog sledding and they couldn't recommend any place either. Having suggestions on local attractions would be helpful. Breakfast selection can be better.
If you are going to Fairbanks, I highly recommend this hotel. All of the rooms are studio suites, nicely furnished, clean, with very comfortable beds. My only complaint was that someone before us in our room tampered with the TV and broke the box in the back probably trying to get something free. I called the front desk and they didn't have anyone that could do anything about it even though it was still late afternoon. They did offer to move us, but since we already had all of our things in the room and unpacked, we declined. No big deal, the TV still worked by pushing the buttons on the front and there was another one in the bedroom area. The included breakfast was very good with eggs, sausage, waffles and lots of other stuff. Great location, right downtown on the river with plenty of free parking. We were on a lengthy road trip so needed to do the laundry while there. The laundry should have been larger for the size of the hotel.
This hotel was fabulous on our last nite on a 15 day trek from Vancouver to Fairbanks with a 7 day cruise along the way. They provided a shuttle service that picked us up at the train and took us to the airport. The room was large with a sitting area, business desk and studio kitchen area. The bed was comfortable. We had one of the best breakfasts we have had a a hotel. The oatmeal was not package but fresh and had 6-7 toppings like pecans, raisins and craisins. They had hot food including salsa for the eggs. I don't drink coffee but they had a unit that provided many of the popular ''fancy type'coffees it appeared to me. Many options beyond the popular waffle maker which my husband likes. We did the Riverboat Discovery trip which I would recommend and the shuttle delivered us round trip. We went to visit the Ice Museum and it did not look like much but it was fascinating ($12 for adults). On the hour they show a film, then display their many sculptures they have on site and then one o...
Wonderful large room, very clean and in great location.
The breakfast had to be refilled every 5min but the chef would take forever to cook
The older gentleman who checked me in was very grumpy.
They overbooked out room TWICE. Once we finally got in to the room, they gave it out to someone else while a were in it, keys and all. I found out because two strangers walked into our room while we were there, with the door shut. They later changed our keys, didn't tell us orthe other staff until we found out we were locked out of our own room.
