Bed ok Breakfast too early for the people having watched the aurora during the night The host at the counter refused to delay my check out (that is at 11:00am) even though I came in late from an aurora watching tour at 5:30am.
There weren't any cockroaches. Noisy, seedy part of town, No free internet. Advertised as free internet, Not so!! Running their service thru Nomadix so they can spy on your internet activiy, worse than the NSA. Slower than 56k modem so you pay hotel more money to do any kind of business. This is 2015 isnt it? Why do I have to use my phone as these cheap motels cause they're trying to make money by selling client lists???
Beds are comfortable Staff is friendly and helpful Decent location Walls are a bit thin.
Room did not have a small refrigerator
Availability. Stairway exit only! The stairs are nowhere near the elevator. Have to walk to the end of the hallway while the elevators are in the middle of the hotel. No clear signage for the outdoor entrances. We got lucky & ran across an employee who opened a "side" door for us. Old TV.
My husband and I came to Fairbanks to see aurura in early November. we enjoyed our stay here .The room is big and clean.we booked a king bed room. Its so conmfortable. Its totally worthy the price.Whats more，the hotel is located in downtown fairbanks. Its easy to go everywhere if u have a car.
I was staying here because of proximity to airport for early morning departure. The staff was helpful and accommodating. When I needed a ride (shuttle was included) and the shuttle was not yet running because of early hour, they provided a voucher to cover cab costs. Also had breakfast available early so I could grab a bite. The room was clean, efficient, bedding very comfortable. I would definitely recommend it. They also had the hotel decorated with some interesting old Fairbanks/Alaska photographs that were actually worth a walk around to see. Because of winter hours (dead of winter, I might add), there was no food service or gift shop service available on Mondays or Tuesdays, so I had no other option for meals beyond ordering in by phone. They did provide coffee and hot water, in addition to in-room coffee making facilities and a microwave for reheating. Even with this, I'd still stay here again.
was not told of remodel in progress. found partial marijuana joint on bathroom sink. will never stay in a La Quinta suits again.
Very nice and clean room with a very comfortable bed. Great shower. Plenty of parking. Pet friendly.
I chose Springhill Suites because of previous good experiences at other Marriot ''Suites'' hotels. I was not disappointed. The room was great. The hotel is just across the street from the Fairbanks Visitor's Center and the Chena River. Ask for a room on the ''front'' of the hotel for this view. On one night, we enjoyed a band concert in the park across the street. The continental breakfast was great - a lot of variety with plenty to choose from. .
This hotel was fabulous on our last nite on a 15 day trek from Vancouver to Fairbanks with a 7 day cruise along the way. They provided a shuttle service that picked us up at the train and took us to the airport. The room was large with a sitting area, business desk and studio kitchen area. The bed was comfortable. We had one of the best breakfasts we have had a a hotel. The oatmeal was not package but fresh and had 6-7 toppings like pecans, raisins and craisins. They had hot food including salsa for the eggs. I don't drink coffee but they had a unit that provided many of the popular ''fancy type'coffees it appeared to me. Many options beyond the popular waffle maker which my husband likes. We did the Riverboat Discovery trip which I would recommend and the shuttle delivered us round trip. We went to visit the Ice Museum and it did not look like much but it was fascinating ($12 for adults). On the hour they show a film, then display their many sculptures they have on site and then one o...
Checked in, desk clerk too busy carrying on personal conversation with another guest to pay attention to us. Got to room and it was freezing. Turns out window left open and boiler being serviced. Clerk did not tell us & this lasted about 3 hours during which my young grandson and I froze. No offer of portable heater or a room that hadn't been chilled to outside air temp with open window when I questioned situation. No consideration on bill either after I complained. Of course, no manager on Sat to help.
CRT TV Really? Bad TV reception. Flat panel TV and HD cable service is not much money.
This is a charming location, quite close to the Fairbanks Airport. The cottages are simple but fine. Staff is helpful and friendly. The restaurants are excellent. Can't think of anything.
Individual cottages are super cute, quiet, and clean. Staff is great! Safe location The rooms don't have refrigerators
Enjoyed coming into friendly atmosphere and warm chocolate chip cookies. Pool was nice sized and whirlpool eased aching from the long drive. Large shower was comfortable. King sized bed inviting and lovely view from the window to a snowy open field. Hearty self serve breakfast sent us on our way.
I had a single king room. It was very clean and spacious. Also room was quiet which I really liked. Staff was helpful. Breakfast was great. A lot of variety and hot items changed daily. Would stay there for work again. Didn't care for the handicapped shower set up.
Staff was excellent and great breakfast.
