Would've appreciated prior information on airport shuttle, but got nothing. Concierge Couldn't locate my reservation. Got a handicap room, okay, but right next to the elevator, so very noisy. Paper thin walls, could hear the people in the next room talking as if they were in my room. At least put insulation into the shared door! Hair in the shower when we arrived. Toilet was running non-stop. Maintenance man came to fix it twice, both times came unannounced. Closet sucked, hangers weren't even high enough to hang a dress shirt without hitting the floor.
The bed/bedding was amazing Having to pay for room internet
how helpful the women at the desk who were juggling multiple task and were able to find us a car in the 9th hour.
Location was vary convenient, great view from room , clean Long line at check-in Kids screaming and yelling in the hallways Thin walls and heard people next door Had multiple parties going on at once and the lobby was very congested Rooms were comfy but dated
The clean place and very good view ! No microwave . And I can not get warm water when I get tummy ache .And we hope next time we can see it there:) and no free wifi. The lobby wifi is good but upstairs have no wifi connection . .........do we really need to write that much and hope right now the word number is good enough to send
Everything was very clean and comfortable The staff did not give us any information about what the hotel provided (like breakfast or where to find anything). They also did not explain how the elevators worked....we ran into multiple people who were confused as to how they worked. We stayed in the deluxe king corner room and it really wasn't anything special, no soaking tub or really anything extra...just a few extra windows.
The location was perfectly located to walk to the Seattle Aquarium and the other downtown shopping, food, and tourist attractions. The staff was fantastic as well! Our hotel room didn't have a great view and the beds were not the most comfortable. The guide on the tv didn't work so we struggled to find child appropriate programs while we were in the room.
reservation process easy and hotel wonderful.
Downtown location, corner Windows were wonderful with a view of the city. Gingerbread display was not as Christmas as prior events have been but focus on Star Wars was pulling in the people and great fund raiser for JDRF one of our most important and favorites Having to leave it was a great stay and break from the daily rush
Nice, well-kept up. Good location.
Cleanliness, great linens and mattresses, accommodating staff All good Was under the impression I could self-park my car.... Had to pay the exhorbitantly priced valet parking for my stay. $43.00 a day. Really?!
The old world flavor and charm of a luxury hotel that has been updated without losing its taste. Nothing.
A little outdated
The indoor pool and hot tub the high thread count of your sheets Coffee should have been provided in your room.....bothersome to have to go to the gym every morning!!
Great location, short walk to Pike Place Market. Wifi is not included in the room price.
Location and staff The room didn't cater for children (i.e. we booked a suite and needed a fold up bed)...
The pool and hot tub and work out room - wonderful concierge
I am a member of the presidents club and the morning of received an email to allow me to check-in prior to leaving my home town. I clicked the link, put an arrival time and how is was arriving etc.. a few hours before my expected arrival I received an email informing me that my room was ready and to pick up my key from the doorman. Also in the email were driving directions from my location. I arrived doorman had my welcome packet and I went right to my room.........slick! cant think of a thing that I didnt like
Great staff. Great location. what could be better? It's the best
Close to business district, restaurants, and entertainment... Given the room rate, free bottled water should be supplied...not $8 per bottle.
beautiful indoor lap pool encouraged exercising; large comfortable rooms with excellent mini-bar and tea pot (so often just a coffee maker and I drink tea); great location - easy walk to tourist sites and waterfront
The Fairmont was the perfect romantic weekend getaway. Walkable to coffee, wine bar, excellent resturants, several theaters and Pike Place for breakfast at Lowell's. Service was top-notch. Staff was personable and attentive. I didn't like having to leave.
This hotel was so much better than I could have imagined. Extremely clean, friendly staff, amazing location. The rooms were very comfortable and the rooftop view was really nice. It is walking distance to the space needle and pike place market and there are tons of cute restaurants around. They have bikes you can rent and umbrellas that you can check out for free. Parking was $18/night but they did let us leave it in the lot after we had checked out.
The room was clean and the staff were friendly. The room has a kitchenette and the grocery store is right across the street. There is also a rooftop terrace. So go to the store, get some wine and cheese and watch the sun set over the sound. There are a lot of restaurants in the area and you can take the monorail to get into downtown Seattle. Also if you are taking a cruise, they have a shuttle to the piers. We were surprised that the inn does not mention this on their website. Our friends would have stayed there if they knew about this.
Location near restaurants we wanted to dine. No faults
The room was well done, I had great views and the bed was super-comfy! The staff was incredibly helpful and nice. I didn't like paying an extra $18 for parking
Location and on-site parking were great. No AC in room. Might not matter on a typical Seattle day, but it was in the 80s and we were on the 5th floor. For $250/night, I expect to be comfortable; we had to keep finding reasons to go out because our room was so hot. Also, many different cleaning products with many different smells=a bit nauseating.
Laundry facilities, rooftop viewing area, just a few blocks from the Seattle Center. 30+ downhill walk to Pikes Place.
Great Location. Clean. Great staff. Room had a great view. Short walk to Needle and other attractions. Good places to eat nearby. Would gladly stay here again. My only gripe is the room was too small with the double beds. It was a bit difficult to move around in the room. This was a minor issue and would not stop me from staying again.
The location of this hotel cannot be beat. Steps away from the Seattle Center and a long walk or quick bus ride or monorail ride away from downtown and Pike Place Market. It wasn't anything fancy, but it was very clean and comfortable. I also loved that they have a little kitchenette in the room, with Safeway across the street and Metropolitan Market (best grocery store in Seattle) two blocks away. There wasn't anything I didn't like. I would definitely recommend this hotel to a friend and would stay here again.
Clean, simple, tasteful. Small undergroundparking area allows fast indoor access to your vehicle directly from elevator. Quiet inside the place- walls seem very thick. awful yellow paint on them however. Nice basic restaurants, beer and grocery within walking distance.
Although this hotel is just about a 5 minute drive to downtown, I really liked the location. It's on a corner and easy to find, there are a handful of restaurants and bars within walking distance, and it's just enough out of town to where the streets and traffic aren't keeping you up at night or waking you up early morning. There is a Starbucks connected to the hotel which is nice. Overall it is a very simple but clean hotel. Only negative thing I could say is that the pillows aren't the most comfortable, but that's a small thing to complain about. Otherwise great hotel.
My family has stayed here two times now. We liked it so much the first time, we intentionally booked it for our following trip. The location is great! Close to Seattle center, super convenient public transportation, good food nearby- including an adorable old school bakery. The room we had was SMALL, despite us requesting a larger one at booking/online check in.
Clean, friendly staff, get a corner room where there's an awesome window that opens up to the outside. We arrived and the gentleman at the desk said our room wasn't quite ready. He said "I have a single bed room available, is that okay?" To which I responded, our room is a double bed room and I pulled out my receipt and showed him, to which he then gave us the correct room. (Which was very nice) During checkout we went up and told them we were leaving and then said we owe $460. I then said, "This was already pre-paid, and pulled out my receipt." He then said "Oh yes, I see it here."
YOu can't stay any closer to the stadiums. It's close enough to downtown to walk anywhere, or catching a bus is easy. I was able to watch some of the pre-game activities at SafeCo field from my room. They upgraded me to a King Suite with a view for free (I booked a reg. King Room), the room was spacious, had everything I needed, and overall was very good for being one of the less-expensive rates I could find near downtown. I had to mark things down just a little bit as the drain in the bathroom was clogged just a little, so some of the water would accumulate. There was also an extra bathtub with a shower head (I was in a suite), so I just used that. Not a big hassle. One morning I was working from my room, and they had a fire alarm test at 11am. Not a big deal, but it was a minor annoyance as I had to rush to put clothes on, and scramble out of my room, only to run into maintenance who told me there was no emergency.
I liked the location (for the game) And I liked the restaurant and bar. I liked the pool and spa on the roof + extra towels. The staff seemed to be professional and courteous (except in one case) I didn't like the fact that a staff maintenance person barged into my room without notice or knocking then came face to face with me and backed up apologizing out the door without an explanation for the intrusion
Super convenient for going to the Sounders game. Staff was friendly and helpful. Clean and safe place to stay. The bed and pillows were not comfortable, so we both slept terribly.
The large TV was awesome The view of the stadium was cool Good proximity to the stadiums Wifi sucked Bed was not the best pillows were really soft Slightly noisy with the trains running by and the hallway noise
Its claimed 4 1/2 stars is actually accurate based on my experience. none
Great location, modern, comfortable room, and very friendly, attentive service from hotel staff. Room was a bit small (but just fine for one person), and bathroom linens could use an upgrade. Hotel restaurant wasn't great.
Staff very friendly. Restaurant food excellent.
Overwhelmingly rude, arrogant unfriendly staff Additionally they were not familiar with the surrounding area - restaurant's I have never had a poorer experience anywhere Rude staff Arrogant - why are they in hospitality?
The location of the hotel was great. Centrally located and easy to get to/from all areas of the city. The hotel room was very dark.
The staff was kind and courteous! We received little discounts here and there which is always appreciated considering the exchange rate right now. The location was very convenient! Free use of yoga mat in room was awesome for stretching after being out. The room was much smaller than expected, even though they surprised us with a king bed upgrade. Though the decor was cute, you could tell the room had seen better days and thus appeared a bit dirty.Doesn't have all amenities other 4.5(4star ongoogle)have
The bed was very nice. The location was great. The young lady working the front desk was very rude. The closet used for hanging clothes and in which the robes were kept was locked and I couldn't open it. The halogen bulbs used in the lamps are awful. Also, there was a fish in a small bowl in the room.
I loved the comfort of the bed and the decor was fabulous. Not the standard hotel look. The room smelled of curry. I just figured it was from the previous occupants. 😔
Efficient checkin and checkout. Clean rooms. Helpful staff. Did not like the aesthetic of the hotel. It had an 'Italian mobster' vibe to it and I felt uncomfortable at times, like I was going to get murdered. The female indie vocal artist made wine hour depressing. The bathroom was too basic for 4-star quality.
The location of the hotel is very good, close to pike public market and central shopping area, only take 10mins to walk to either place. The staff in the hotel are very nice and helpful. The restaurant in the hotel offers very good breakfast.
location, room size
As tourists, the location was ideal and right in the middle of a ton of sites and restaurants. The decor and view were incredible as well, and I highly recommend cocktail hour in the gorgeous bar. We had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant and both were incredible. Would absolutely recommend this to friends, and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. The only complaint I have is that we had issues with our fireplace, and while I'm sure 98% of it was user error we also kept getting conflicting information on how to make it work from various hotel staff. We must have asked for instructions on how to turn it on and off four different times and were told four different instructions on how to operate it.
Nice waterfront location & lounge area. A bit dingy & a little shabby. Expensive waterfront room partly obscured by equipment, and staff not helpful w.r.t. finding alternative room. Bar is very loud but nice location & lively.
The location and the lobby guest lounge. The lack of parking forces you to use the valet at $41/day. A hotel of this prestige should offer a continental breakfast and free coffee in the dinning area. I've stayed at many hotels in this price range that do offer it and parking for guests is free. Definitely paying for the location and name.
Nice overall Thermostat and fireplace did not work. Shower splashed water out in bathroom.
The room and staff were great!!! Clean everything!!! Great location!!! Overpriced valet parking $41.00!!! Just ridiculous!!!
This is a beautiful hotel on the water. The rooms are immaculate. The staff always helpful. The restaurant was an added bonus. Would definitely stay again.
I've stayed in better economy type inns. Cool location , but way dated and a need for up dating. The price didn't match the facilities
the Staff were So friendly & helpful..and Everyone was always Smiling! Décor was Just what I love...I call it "Rustic Elegance"...food was Very good. My room on the water was perfect and could have sat by my window on the water for Hours. Great location since I had the choice of walking to many things or take your shuttle. Will come again!! Too bad there isn't an "Upper Deck" or terrace on top where people could sit maybe half indoors/half out, to take in the views.
Bed and pillows were not comfortable
Located right on the waterfront. Beautiful common rooms and restaurant to look over the water and watch the sunsets.
The location is excellent. Our window opened over the water, literally. Built on a pier so the ocean was literally under our room. Cruise ships docked right out our window. The shuttle service was excellent although we only used it once to get to dinner then walked back so can't speak of the return service. Forced valet parking fee of $41 a night. Adds up pretty quickly. We stayed in a double/double room (no queens???, come on Edgewater) because the only king room available was over the bar which we were warned would have a band playing until midnight. So, my wife and I ended up sleeping in separate beds. Two adults in a double? Love her dearly but we both appreciate a little space when we are sleeping. We were unaware that the only heat source in the room was the fireplace. It was 90+ degrees so we didn't think about it during the day. Of course it kicked on in the middle when the temperature dropped. Didn't bother me much but it did bother my wife who was roasting since her bed was next to the fireplace. Don't get me wrong, the fireplace is a beautiful touch but would have appreciated a bit of warning about it automatically coming on during the night. Seemed a bit strange that the fireplaces in the common areas were lit even though it was record hot days the whole time we were there. I guess that should have been a clue. The shower head was held on with masking tape. Yes, masking tape. There were water stains on the ceilings. It would seem to me that a bit of paint and a new shower head in a room that costs $500 a night would not be an unreasonable expense for maintenance. Heck, use my parking fee for the weekend, that should cover it.
