The room was nice and spacious. The beds were decently comfortable. Most of the staff was excellent (pool attendants, front desk, cleaning staff, and most of service staff in Tiwa cafe on 1st floor). The casino staff is good as well. The door locks are not sensitive enough. It takes several seconds for the access point on the door to read the card. Not a terrible problem, but it was a bit annoying. The room has no refrigerator (might want to bring a cooler if possible). The pillows were a little lacking (don't provide great neck support). Although the room was smoke free and smelled good the hallways and lobby sometimes smell like smoke because the casino goers smoke like chimneys and tend to drag the smell with them. The staff works very hard to maintain a clean facility however. It's just something that will not get better unless smoking is banned on premise.
Room was overall clean, nice view, casino was great. Room wasn't ready when we were told it would be, so they moved us to the 4th floor instead of asking if we would mind waiting. The bed comforter was lumpy and dirty. We had a king unit but only was given 3 pillows.
I LIKED THE RENOVATIONS THE HOTEL/CASINO HAVE MADE AND ARE STILL MAKING. I THINK THAT ON THE WEEKENDS NEED A COFFEE SHOP WITH MORE HEALTH ORIENTED SNACKS AVAILABLE DURING LATE HOURS. ALSO TIME AGO YOU USED TO HAVE ON THE WEEKENDS LIVE MUSIC OR A DANCE AREA, NOT JUST A BAR ALSO A SMALL SPA. I HAVE TO GO TO SANDIA, AND SOMETIMES I THINK ABOUT RENTING THERE JUST SO I DON'T HAVE TO BE TRAVELING BACK AND FORTH THERE. AND LETS NOT FORGET ABOUT THE KIDS, THE AREA AND GAMES ARE ALWAYS THE SAME, NO NEW TECHNICAL STUFF GOING ON
Clean rooms, good breakfast, friendly staff The heater in room 220 was so loud that I had to wear ear plugs to sleep at night.
Location. Breakfast was good. Baserooms were old and no view. Friends stayed on upper floor and they were very happy with their rooms. Please request rooms on upper floors.
Staff were helpful & friendly. Clean, comfortable room. Had trouble connecting to WiFi in our room. Connection was good in the lobby, but spotty & sometimes unavailable in the room.
When we checked in we were given a handicapp room which we didn't reserve. We also were not impressed with the morning staff. Our shuttle was late to the airport because we had to hunt down staff. The person driving the shuttle would not buckle their seat beat so an alarm went off every 2 minutes. Next time we will look for places elsewhere.
Great hybrid concept. Upscale accommodations with limited services served our purposes at a reasonable rate.
Nice clean rooms comfortable beds Noise from construction
Friendly staff, great restaurant. Check in was in a small, cramped room. The room was kind of small, especially the bathroom. It is an older hotel that they have tried to upgrade. Not much of a view. Not in a great part of town but I am not sure Albuquerque has such a thing.
The Andaluz has a wonderful history and the remodel saved it's antique flavor. We found the employees friendly and knowledgable about its past. Loved the bar on the 2nd floor. All the beers on tap were local.
I loved how friendly and accommodating the staff was. They were welcoming of me and my two young children (and dog). The rooms could be cleaner. The carpet was stained and it made my infant dirty when he crawled. The tub wouldn't drain properly, so we got to shower in standing water. Also, there was used soap left in the shower, along with shampoo and conditioner. One of the main reasons I picked the Sheraton was because they have cribs available. They did not. My infant had to sleep on the floor on some blankets. I couldn't have both my kids in bed with me, as I only had a queen.
Nothing Place is a total shit stack. It would be better suited to have the facility pushed over and have a modern version built.
Low price, courteous staff, Heavy area traffic is not conducive to pedestrians wishing to walk to Uptown. Its not far, but a lot of lights and 6-8 lane highways to cross. No pool (but we knew that), loud and off-key band in the lobby lounge at check in. Worn side chair in room, dirty/worn elevators. Hung the do not clean sign but the housekeeping staff came in anyway. Nit picking really, as we pretty much got what we expected from an older Sheraton-run property.
