it was okay but would not be my first choice only because it's not what i'm used to.
good location, underground parking, quiet internet interruptions, 15% off card misleading as best rates, and available rooms still on internet, not through hotel direct booking.
I really needed a fridge and there were no rooms available with fridges in them. I don't get what the problem with having a fridge in every room is. I was supposed to stay for 4 nights but only stayed one and had to switch hotels because there was no fridge. Rather the hotel buy a fridge for 30$ then loose 350$ of a clients stay. And also, it is located in a poor location. There are barley enough places to eat at and nothing close buy that you can walk to.
The restaurant was open for business on xmas morning. The meal portions left you completely satisfied. There is underground parking as well as plug-in availabliity.
The service in the dining oom The rooms are in dire need of upgrading and a good thorough cleaning. Very noisy, great deal of traffic. Noise from the hallways easily heard. Our first room had a broken thermostat and the maintenance man suggested opening the balcony window to cool off the room, it was -33 in Regina this weekend.
Location is convenient to down town shopping. I had originally reserved a room 3 weeks in advance booking a room with a king bed and a hide a bed. However, when I got there I had a very small room with one queen bed. I phoned down to the desk, but they told me they didn't have any superior rooms for me to change too. I was there on business and had to take a room on the 9th floor. I was very disappointed in the service. Also, the ice machine wasn't on my floor, and when I went to the 7th floor for ice the ice machine was broken. I was going up and down in the elevator to find an ice machine that worked. Next time I'm in the city for business I think I will book a room somewhere else.
I did not get the best price as the amounts quot`ed were in $US without being shown to be so. As a result I did not receive the best deal. A third floor room with nothing in sight except rooftop heating units is not a good deal.
Friendly staff , Starbuck Coffee , restaurant on premises , clean Hotel but a little bit old , free parking . Some vagrants hanging outside the hotel made me worry a little bit but no break in the vehicle .
The closeness of other places in the downtown area allowed us to walk and not worry about parking facilities.
Slow elevators Reservation and billing system is bureucratic and inacurate
Stayed at Wingate for 5 nights due to function in the city. Booked on line so price target was good. Very clean hotel, large room, friendly staff, even when there was a bit of a mix-up at check out. Our room over looked a busy street, so was happy we had packed a set of ear-plugs.We had early morning starts, so having a hot breakfast in hotel was a nice touch, Thank You Wingate for a lovely stay, will be staying with you again this fall for another convention in the city.
good price and location. some rooms in my booking were not clean when we checked in BUT the staff corrected the problem immediately and gave us another room.
There was no coffee whitener or sugar provided with the coffee maker. I had to go to the Lobby to get these items.
The location of this Hotel was perfect for our purpose in the city. We were there for a wedding, and we were close to both the Ceremony spot and the Reception spot. I would not say I had any "complaints" but I was not overly impressed with this Hotel either. It was definately nothing to write home about.
The Quailty inn in regina sk is clean however the building is getting run down and dumpy. Staff are friendly and funny. Get some ventalation for the bathrooms. So there is less chance of creating mildew invorments bathroom area.
The lobby looked nice, the front desk staff was friendly, the coffee tasted good at 5:00 AM. The room was designated "non-smoking" - however, the room smelled stale, like old tobacco smoke in the paint and furnishings. I found someone else's used wash cloth in the bathroom over the shower rod - I guess the cleaner had missed it. There was a little pile of hair and dirt between the tub and toilet, again probably had been hidden by the folded/opened shower curtain. The room heater/cooler looked ancient and painted over. I didn't want to try to operate it. I opened the window and noticed there was a big loud fan outside. The window sill was full of corrosion and dust.
There were three pillows per bed. Staff was friendly and courteous. Nice to see security guys in and outside of the hotel. The room across from ours had a lot of foot traffic, in and out of their room, loud talking, swearing, doors banging shut every 5-10 minutes from 10:30pm to 1:30 am. I was very tired after a 9 hour drive, was able to sleep for 4 hours, went to a confrence, then drove in the evening for another 4 hours. I was very tired through this whole experience, so I wasn't able to enjoy the confrence I attended. And at 5:30 am the morning alarm went off next door and woke us up. Also, when I sat down on the toilet to relieve myself, I nearly fell off !! The toilet was tilted. It looked like someone heavy had sat on it and the tiles on one side of the toilet were broken and it was sinking into the floor on the one side...scary!
clean, very polite staff. Beds seemed to be very small.
Only one complain: I was kept up until 3am second night and some more loud younger pepole( there for a Game ??) My ? would be? why would they be put right next door and across also down hall from me( older) I had 4 days` to visit my son and had very little sleep. I told the joung lady ( at desk) on checking out, I did not complain as I would not have wanted to move at 2.30 or more in the morning. This is just a suggestion for futer, I lkie to stay there , have before and will again, hopefully not at a game time. Thank you for asking. Regard`s Jo-Anne Whalley ( Ontario).
The room was hot and the air conditioner did not work. The remote for the Tv did not work and even manually we were unable to change channels on the TV. It was not a good experience and I definitely would not stay there again.
Hotel was central which is what I preferred. The Night Clerk was totally unfriendly.....not at all helpful......I thought that the rooms were far too expensive for the room........small, not conducive to wheelchair access for my daughter. Hotel, considering its age and condition should lower their price.
Everything was in the hotel. Restaurant, pool, cable TV etc
the waterslide and the pillows The service at Ricky's, the bathroom fan was broken, the hotel layout, with respect to parking was awful, the walls are paper thin, the online booking does not actaully reserve the type of room chosen (which is quite misleading)
the front desk staff was friendly and accomodating. too casual in their addressing guests though. should use their last name and not their given name, especilly seniors. cudos to the gentleman taking care of the pool area. excellent. helpful and friendly. the housekeeping needs a better training. minor things were left undone or neglected. this service is what you expect in a budget hotel, not one in this price range.
The staff at the front desk were very pleasant and provided directions to places in and around regina. The restaurant within the hotel was only opened till 10:00 pm it would have been nice if it was opened till 11:00 pm for at least beverages and small food items i.e. appetizers or dessert like foods.
The staff is always friendly and very nice to deal with. I booked online and the hotel charged my credit card prior to my stay. Also this is the first time that the bedding was dirty. Someone tried to get in the room during the night.
I loved the fact that they had a shuttle bus to pick me up at the Bus Depot and take me back to the hotel... I was on a budget and only stayed for one night so it fit my criteria perfectly. Friendly staff!
The room was great and the staff very helpful.
My time there was limited...Just a sleep over and back on the road.No visiting,no shopping,Back to Wpg,Mb.
