This may have been an infrequent occurrence but I waited for the airport shuttle for 30+ minutes at 10:30 at night without a shuttle being seen. Other hotel shuttles came and went but not the one I needed. I was told by airport personnel that it was very late and the shuttle would not likely show up. Cost me US$10 for 1.2 mile taxi. Disappointing given that the Camino Real is a traveler and business hotel and knowing of late arrivals should be routine.
This is the best option for a moderately priced hotel close to the airport. There is a pool, friendly service overall, and modern rooms with AC. We have stayed here before with breakfast included, such as on our arrival night. The morning we were flying out, we thought breakfast was included as it had been before. Imagine our surprise to have a hotel employee chase us down at the airport to demand payment half an hour later as we were trying to check in our luggage and go to security to board. Very strange behavior to try and collect a $35 bill, which we certainly weren't trying to avoid after spending thousands on this trip. An email to the hotel management went unanswered.
This hotel has a very pleasant swimming pool area, excellent ceviche, and good food and service overall.
The Hotel is very nice and staff is very professional. Room was very clean and modern. Be sure yo get a figm price from the shuttle at the hotel. He took us to burger king and the mall and picked us up at the mall which is maybe 10 min away, then charged us 40$. Is this a nyc taxi in managua? Other taxis in town would have been maybe 3$ each leg of that outing equalling 9$ total, not 40$. Otherwise our stay was great.
Good service room, excellent attention on lobby With baby is hard to trouble cause of the cleaning of bottles,need a microwave, the people from room service helped with that but did wrong
I enjoyed my stay mainly do to the staff, they were extremely helpful. The lounge met the needs of an adult traveler very relaxing and welcoming. It also felt like a very safe environment. I stayed at three hotels in five days in Nicaragua and I think this was the best one (intercontinental, pelican eyes and this one) granted each one met a different need for a certain guest. My stay was too short too really comment on the negative. I found the location to meet my needs.
Location & grounds. Outdated decor, dirty couches, damaged furniture, no free airport shuttle, inadequate Internet coverage, price of food in its bar and restaurants.
Convenient location in safe neighborhood. All amenities and great breakfast.
This place is practically in the airport. Great for those early morning flights.
Open concept, ac, close to airport, across to be exact, made it very convenient to walk to the hotel after late flight to pick up rental in the am. In such a competitive market it is important to treat each consumer with courtesy and respect. At the end of the day, the guest is the true employer. This hotel staff must improve their attitude towards the incoming guest, as they are very confrontational instead of welcoming, no guest should ever want to run out as they are checking in to their room, if room has been previously booked, do not try to add unwanted additional charges. In addition, Our room had not been aired out in sometime and it was inundated with Mosquitoes, which cleared out after running ac and and simply opening the door, not a good combo after dealing with a combative reception and front lobby staff. In summary, improve customer service, be more welcoming and air out the rooms from time to time to make the guest, your true employer, at home and allow him/her to want to keep you as his/her hotel Of choice on their future trips.
