Grand Tikal Futura is a beautiful hotel, and though more expensive than most hotels in Guatemala, very worth it. I was treated well during my stay and offered assistance with anything I needed. The room was immaculately clean and the beds were firm, though comfortable. Thank you.
We did dine in the restaurant on the second floor and were overcharged for a salad we didn't order or eat. When I brought it up with the server (in Spanish), he kept apologizing, but didn't seem to want to correct it until I persisted (we had accidentally already paid him in Quetzales). I do hope the managers allow for some human error, which all servers experience from time-to-time.
