Retreat to our Village Hideaway, a cozy private room with an ensuite bathroom for one or two guests, with a private entrance. The space is thoughtfully appointed providing all you will need for a comfy stay. Situated in the rear of the house, next to the parking lot. Enjoy the convenience to easily stroll downtown Saranac Lake for dining and shopping. Plus we're on the Adirondack Rail Trail currently 10 miles to Lake Placid is complete 24 miles under construction. The space A unique and private room with a private entrance accommodates one or two people. There is a queen sized bed / Murphy bed (linens and blankets provided), night stands, Morgan chair, side tables, ceiling fan, luggage rack, clothes rack with hangers, coat hooks, and a secretary's desk for dedicated work space. Enjoy the sweet little space for preparing simple meals. It is well equipped with a compact refrigerator with freezer, microwave, toaster,drip coffee maker and other kitchen essentials (mugs, glasses, wine glasses and opener, silverware, cutting board, etc.). There is a small deck with a table, chairs and cushions to sit outside during the warmer months. The Hideaway's ensuite bathroom has a 32" shower stall (no tub). Bath essentials are provided including towels and washcloths, hand soap, shower gel, shampoo, and hair dryer. The room is at the back of the owner's home and private studio where Mary offers 1:1 and couples private yoga and therapeutic services. Guests may attend Mary's off-site yoga classes at a reduced rate. The Village Hideaway II - garden level, full apartment - is also available through VRBO/Expedia Partners. Interaction with guests Mary and Kevin are available whenever needed via text or phone. We are happy to meet you as well, if you like. You'll find a guidebook in the room with the hosts recommendations for dining and outings as well as brochures and maps for area attractions, trails and waterways. The neighborhood The Village Hideaway is conveniently located a short walk to downtown Saranac Lake and its shops, cafes, restaurants, and artist galleries. The building behind ours is Bluseed Studios, featuring art exhibitions, workshops, plays and live music performances. Across the street kitty corner is a small park with a tennis/pickleball court and basketball court. Guests have found the convenience of stores located across the street: Dollar General, Aubuchon's Hardware, Kinney Drugs, a Wine and Spirits shop, and a bicycle and snow mobile rental shop. Less than a mile away is the towns’ municipal beach, park and picnic area at Lake Colby - a lovely spot to watch the sunset, and a boat launch on Lower Saranac Lake, which gives access to the spectacular Saranac chain of lakes. Behind the building is the new Adirondack Rail Trail where you can walk, bike, cross country ski or snow mobile for miles! The 10 mile section to Lake Placid is complete and to 24 additional miles is under construction. It is magnificently scenic! Fish cabin has one Queen Bedroom and a Queen sleeper sofa in the living room. This cabin can accommodate 2 adults and 2 children maximum. The sleeper sofa can accommodate less than 120 pounds for sleeping purposes. Please do not book this cabin if your group exceeds our capacity. Fish has a fully stocked kitchen including spices, dishes, utensils, pots, pans, teapot, blender, microwave, gas stove, refrigerator/freezer, toaster, drip and Keurig coffee machines. Towels and linens are provided. Fish has a Smart TV and all of the comforts and amenities of home provided in Adirondack decor. Each of the 4 cabins has their own fire pit, Adirondack Chairs, picnic table, grill on their lawn. The cabins are approximately 25 feet from the next with trees separating them. Guests can enjoy our private beach and dock and use any of our 7 boats to partake in fishing or just enjoy the beautiful lake. Fish Cabin is about 300 feet from Lake Colby and is not along the shore of the lake, but does have access to our beach, boats and dock. Fish cabin has it's own charcoal grill, picnic table and Fire pit outside as well as a smoker. Each of the 4 cabins on the property are approximately 25 feet from the next with trees separating them. During boating season, guests can enjoy our private beach and dock and use any of our seven boats: 2 row boats, 2 canoes, 2 full size kayaks and a child size kayak. Lake Colby is known for it's excellent fishing of: rainbow and brown trout, salmon, largemouth and smallmouth bass. Maximum 10 hp motors can be used on this lake. Boating is available on our property between May1st and October 31st unless water temperatures are unsafe. Lake Colby is part of the greater Saranac Lake Community which offers many tourist attractions, including hiking, snow skiing, zip lines, golf and amazing food. This cabin is also a two minute walk to the public beach and a one minute drive to the boat launch. The Village of Saranac Lake boasts wonderful Eateries, Pubs and Coffee Shops. Colby Cabins are a 2 minute drive from Mt. Pisgah where the whole family can enjoy downhill skiing, tubing and snow boarding on lit trails. Saranac Lake is surrounded by some of the most scenic hiking trails on the East Coast. Let us know if you wish to book one, two or three or four cabins. Check-in and Check-out are not allowed on Saturdays from the third week of June to the first week of September. The internet speed is 300 mbs download, 20 mbs upload. Cameras are used outside the property for security purposes. There are no cameras inside the premises.
